Description
**this is for long term rental/sublet only. Cute 2 bedroom 4th floor apartment - entire top floor - with two skylights. Great for commuters, and remote workers (fast internet) - the apartment is steps to the Franklin C train, two fancy grocery stores, coffee shops, and bars. 15min to Manhattan! This is an old-world-charm brownstone, formerly a single family home on a low resident block with an elementary school across the street and library at the end of the block steps to the subway. The space Walk less than a one minute to the subway, ride 15 and you'll be in Manhattan! Subway right around the corner! This bright and cozy two-bedroom in an old world brownstone apartment is located on a historic block in "Brownstone National Park" Brooklyn, and right around the corner from the train (Franklin C, S shuttle to Prospect Park)!!! Visitors can save long walks for checking out the city rather than hiking to the train - grocery stores, laundry mat, coffee shops, restaurants and bars all conveniently steps from the apartment on a low resident block. Also, A/C train takes you to/from the JFK airport. This sunny (two skylights) apartment has hardwood floors, a tub/shower bathroom, living room, and a fully equipped kitchen. Street parking is not as competitive as other parts of the city as it is a low resident block with an Elementary School across the street and Library at the end of the block. I often get to park right in front of the apartment. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, two closets with shelving and hangers, full length mirror, small desk, ceiling fan and fireplace (non-working) + loads of charm. The guest bedroom has a full size bed, one closet, bed side table and private entrance from the stairwell landing - no need to walk through apartment to enter/exit - convenient if sharing the space. Across the street from the apartment is Brooklyn's first public school, PS 3 The Bedford Village, teaching preschool through fifth grade. At the end of the block is Brooklyn's first public library, which opened in 1897 in a cornfield before moving to its present 1905 Carnegie building. Guest access All of the locks to the building and apartment are convenient keyless code locks. Steps from the train and two coffee shops. Right next door is a Juice Bar serving fresh juice and organic products! At night check out Glorietta Baldy's beer selection which is directly across from the juice bar or eat at Hart’s - rated in of the best restaurants in the nation! Take that coffee/tea/juice with you on your ride to the island, or as you explore by foot your surrounding neighborhoods of Bedford Stuyvesant and student-mecca Clinton Hill. If you walk East, soon you’ll be in the grand enclave of Stuyvesant Heights, first settled mid-17th century by the Dutch. To the west, Clinton Hill, home of the respected Pratt Institute (a 20-minute walk), is a community of creatives, students, and academics that boasts an ever-increasing number of celebrated foodie restaurants and independent boutiques. Around the corner, cross the street from the subway, is fancy grocery store Lincoln Market that has everything. Down the block a laundry mat with drop off service - your clothes cleaned, dried and folded at a low cost. Other things to note RECOMMENDATIONS See my Guidebook for Brooklyn
