Teal Lake is right out the back door offering beautiful sunsets, wildlife and outdoor recreation. Electric motors only allowed, 2 kayaks provided. Quiet, residential neighborhood, conveniently located for day trips in either direction - Picture Rocks in Munising or up to the Copper Country. 12 miles from Marquette, easy walk to supermarket and public sand beach. About a mile to antique shopping, restaurants, bars, Iron Ore Heritage Trail for biking or hiking and mega RAMBA Trails. The space A love of the 50's and mid century design have influenced my 1950s, two level ranch home. Main/street level is guest space, lower level is host/personal space. If on site a separate, lower level exterior entrance is used. Outdoor spaces are for guest use only with a front entry from the street. Enjoy fabulous views of Teal Lake from the kitchen, dining room, lounge and primary bedroom. On occasion you may hear the call of loons and see eagles sowing over the house as they return to their nest across the lake. A thriving habitat for birds and bird watchers. Being a native "kiwi", (from New Zealand) the space also reflects my love of the homeland with an infusion of kiwiana - Often appreciated by those who have visited and has been shared as inspiration for some who hope to visit. Secure garage bike storage is a plus for the cyclist here to ride our well loved trails - Space will be limited October - April, please ask for clarification if planning to utilize during these dates. Guest access Guests have the comforts of entire upper floor with exception of one closed room - used for storage and inoperable fireplace. Garage may be used for bikes or water toys etc, too small for most vehicles. Garage space may be limited October - April 31st, please inquire at booking if questions. Full access to deck, backyard and dock in season - Typically goes in May and is taken out late September. Off street parking for one vehicle only, can not park on the street overnight when parking ban is in effect, November 1st - April 31st. Other things to note *Listed price is for 2 guests. Refer to listing details for additional per guest/per night fees. Max 4 registered guests - at any time. *Highway runs parallel to the Teal Lake. The house is some distance away, depending how the wind is blowing muffled highway noise can travel across the lake. *2 kayaks supplied to enjoy the lake. Adult large, adult x large, adult small, medium and adult x small life jackets provided. Please let me know if you have additional needs. * No central AC, 3 window fans (two in the bedrooms are Vornados which wirk great!), ceiling fan and 4 moveable fans. There is a a/c window unit in the living room. *As the snow flies, shovel and salt are available if needed in-between provided snow management.
