Luxury Cottage with breathtaking private peninsula

Skirinish Farm cottage has been refurbished to a very high standard. Great for a romantic getaway, the cottage is at the end of a private road, situated close to the sea on a private peninsula. Relax in the cottage or use it as a base to explore the many attractions on Skye. Close to the main village of Portree and the harbour at Uig with access to the Outer Hebrides the cottage is perfectly situated. The cottage has good WIFI, perfect for WFH. Warm and cosy in winter as well as summer. The space Skirinish Farm Cottage is situated at the end of a private road about 6 miles from Portree and 10 miles from Uig. It has recently been completely renovated and is now an extremely comfortable and luxurious one bedroom cottage. We have gone to great trouble to make the cottage comfortable. Decorated to a high standard, it offers one double ensuite bedroom with Super King Size Bed (bed can also be made up as two singles if requested). We use all White Company linen and towels. The bathroom has a bath and a large shower as well as a heated towel rail and underfloor heating. The utility room has both a Bosch washing machine and tumble dryer as well as a second loo and basin. An iron and ironing board are also provided. The kitchen is well equipped with AEG appliances including induction hob/electric oven/fridge/freezer and dishwasher. A Nespresso machine and an Aeroccino are available as well as a supply of Nespresso coffee pods. The entire cottage has been stylishly decorated using Farrow and Ball paint and furnishings from Loaf, Oka and Catalog. Curtains and blinds have been made using Fermoie fabric and tweed made locally by Skye Weavers. We provide delicious bathroom products from La-Eva. Pictures by Charles Simspon (a well known Scottish artist) are hung on the walls. WiFi is available and the cottage is well set up for working from home with a separate office with desk. There is a flat screen tv and a wood burning stove in the sitting room. The house has a separate office with a desk and shelving and is perfectly set up for working from home. The Wifi is very adequate for zoom meetings indeed we have had several visitors who have combined working from home and holiday in the cottage. We will leave you a substantial welcome pack including beer from the local Skye Brewery, home made jam and chutney, and some treats from the Skye Bakery. Skye is well known for both challenging and easy walking and we can recommend our favourites. If you enjoy fine dining there are endless possibilities nearby as well as The Chippy in Portree which is a must visit. We try hard to make our guests feel welcome and at home at the cottage, Juliet is available at all times to advise or answer queries before and during your stay. Guest access The cottage has a private garden for you and the peninsula just outside your door is yours to explore. Other things to note Well behaved dogs are welcome but there will be a fee of £40 per dog payable to help with the extra cleaning. Please don't let your dog onto furniture or the bed.
