Includes carport and decks and laundry Other things to note First of all, I want to make you aware of this website:https://visitalpinetx.com/alpine-overview/ My personal recommendations are : To eat: Magoos (open until 2 weekdays and 12 weekends) for Mexican breakfast or a bacon cheeseburger. Taste & See Bakery (Open Wed-Sat 8-3) has the best coffee and breakfast treats in town. For lunch, I would go to Creekside, across from The RailRoad Blues, (open 11-4) or the Bakery on 5th. There are also several tasty food trucks in town open for lunch. For a fancy meal and a killer steak and cocktails The Century in the Holland Hotel is the best! Marfa as some fine dining options, but I have not tried them for myself. The Gage in Mararthon is world famous and I can tell you it’s for a good reason! 5 stars! Also Eve’s Bed and Breakfast is a work of art, definitely want to see it if you go to town. To Do: Hike! ask for a map of local trails at the Visitor’s Center at 106 N 3rd St, Alpine, TX 79830 The Museum of the Big Bend at Sul Ross State University is super cool! You definitely want to go to the McDonald Observatory in Ft Davis, maybe try to schedule a star party for Sat night. Ft Davis is a Historical Site with costumed reenactments daily. Marfa is full of funky art and hipsters. The Donald Judd Foundation and Chinati Foundation have some large outdoor art instillations to check out. And of course- The famous Marfa Lights- viewing area is just outside Marfa proper. Go to Big Bend!!!! Go to Boquitas Mexico! Go to Balmoreah and swim in Solomon Spring- the biggest spring fed pool in America!!! but make a reservation online, because it was closed for a year and now it fills up quickly. See you soon!
