Our Bungalow in the Forest! The Bungalow is situated in the valley of San Gerardo de Dota. Inside the Los Santos Forest Reserve, on top of a hill with a breathtaking view of the forest and a private reserve that consists of 5 km of walking trails, your Bungalow is close to the newly created Los Quetzales National Park. The space The Bungalow has the following facilities: queen-sized beds with goose-feather duvets, ´´Air Conditioner Inverter´´ heating system, Satellite television, ecological chimney working on ethanol, safe deposit box, minibar with fridge, table with chairs and a private terrace. In the bathroom you will find a shower, towels, biodegradable soaps and shampoos, and a hair dryer. All our hot water is solar heated. This room can accommodate a maximum of 4 people, but it is possible to put 2 extra beds (single beds), extra cost of $50 plus taxes, breakfast included. Children under 10 years can have an extra bed at no cost, breakfast included. Guest access On the property we provide the following facilities; sleeping, restaurant, gallery, trails, tours and relaxing, combining quality and comfort in order to allow you to experience and enjoy the cloud forest in its purest form. Nearby you can also find typical restaurants, trails, trout fishing, protected areas, National Parks and the Cerro de la Muerte, with its 3480 meters the second highest point in Costa Rica and with a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean and the volcanoes. Other things to note Dantica Cloud Forest Lodge is a sustainable lodge because is committed to sustainable tourism in Costa Rica, participating actively in the program of the CST (Certificación para la Sostenibilidad Turística) of the ICT (Costa Rica Tourism Board), and we do our very best to comply all the standards set by the CST. We are a real eco-lodge, in every sense of the word. Not only because of the measures we take protecting the environment, involving the local community and educating our guests, but also because of its location in the midst of the unspoiled forest; surrounded by National Parks and inside a Forest Reserve, and a one hour drive from the nearest village. Dantica Cloud Forest Lodge has a beautiful gallery, 3 large rooms full of indigenous art, art and handicrafts. Products you probably will not find anywhere else in Costa Rica! One reason is that our products come from all over Latin-America; Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panamá, Perú and Venezuela. In this way we show you the diversity of cultures on this continent united in one single space. From necklaces to furniture, ceramics to hammocks, wooden benches to bags we offer you a large variety of products at a high level both in design and quality, elaborated with pre-Colombian techniques or contemporary craftsmanship. Many products we show are still in use in a number of indigenous and rural communities in Latin America. Furthermore a variety of products we sell is designed by us, giving you also the guarantee you will find them nowhere else.
