Lamb Cove cottage is situated on the historic St. Croix River (saltwater) just ten miles (16 kilometers) south of Calais, Maine. It sits at the end of a cul-de-sac two-tenths of a mile (.32 kilometers) off route #1 and one-tenth of a mile (.16 kilometers) from the owners summer cottage. Canada and the Passamaquoddy Tribe being just minutes away this cottage is the perfect spot for a three nation vacation. Wifi now available. The space Rental weeks start and end on Sundays. Check in after 3 PM and check out no later than 10 AM. Guest access Fresh Lobster at market price may be available during your stay. Fresh out of the river by Captain Lou or his son Chris. This is available during summer months depending on weather, tide and work schedule. You are welcome to bring your canoe, kayak, or boat for your personal usage. There is a launching ramp for boats just 2 miles south of Lamb Cove Cottage. Other things to note Experience the highest tides in the continental USA, explore unspoiled Washington County, relax with a fire on the beach, and view historic St. Croix Island and Canada from your front patio. Eagles, ospreys, and seals frequent the river. Children love to explore the beach at low tide looking for beach glass and intertidal creatures. One can swim in the river. The water is not as warm as nearby lakes(2 miles). If you want privacy, solitude, and salt air this is your place. Lamb Cove Cottage has two(2) bedrooms on the first floor, one with a queen size bed and one with a double sized bed. Two bedrooms on the second floor that has two twin sized beds each. The couch in the living room can be used so the cottage will sleep 9. A new half bath has been added to the second floor as of July 1, 2017
