Description

Our Santo Domingo Family Lodge is an entertaining and cozy country and beach house, located in El Convento, 30 minutes by car from the Santo Domingo seaside resort, 10 minutes from Las Salinas beach and the El Yali National Reserve and very close to your next adventure. It's a perfect place to enjoy sharing with family and friends, spacious, comfortable and relaxed. An outdoor paradise to disconnect, relax and enjoy entertaining countryside, beach and nature experiences. The space This entertaining and cozy house and its countryside and beach environment represent our way of enjoying sharing free time, in close contact with family, friends, the nature of the countryside and the beach. This magical place invites, motivates and arranges for all the members of the group to share pleasant and memorable experiences of coexistence and entertaining adventures. The ease and freedom granted by the distribution of the house, its spaciousness, brightness, warmth and varied environments with stylish vintage decoration and its surroundings, invite us to disconnect from the routine and relax to rest and connect with family, friends and the amazing nature offered by the surroundings of the El Yali Wetland and the beach of Santo Domingo. The Great Hall, which incorporates the kitchen, living room and dining room, is the protagonist of the house, with its large windows establishing a close relationship with the terraces, gardens and park outside. The open kitchen, with its large counter and full equipment, invites you to share the preparation of snacks, meals and roasts as a group. The rooms have rich bedding, down duvets and bed warmers, which ensure a pleasant and restful sleep. The terraces and gardens invite us to sunbathe, listen to the wind in the trees and observe how the light and outdoor conditions change. On the East terrace is the quincho with grill and countertops for the inevitable barbecues. There is also a children's play area with a trampoline, dollhouse and the old Locomovil. On the west terrace there is a ping pong table that invites entertaining competitions. Our large Hot Tub or mini pool-sized hot water tank deserves a special mention, with capacity for up to 12 people, where you can enjoy relaxing baths both day and night. Tricao Park is a natural space located 30 minutes by car from the house. It has a circuit of viewpoints, trekking trails, MTB circuits, kayak rides, the largest free-flying Aviary in South America, the incredible Giverny Wetland - inspired by the gardens that Monet portrayed in France - and a Botanical Garden with more than 300 species. Guest access Our house, called Santo Domingo Family Lodge, is located within an old and spacious park that we share with my two brothers' houses. However, the houses are independent and are far enough apart to ensure privacy and tranquility. The terraces, gardens and surroundings of our house are exclusively for the use of its occupants Guests of our house will be able to move freely around the countryside that has an area of 80 hectares, where they can see the horses and cattle. Other things to note Firewood: Firewood consumption is not included in the accommodation price and is charged additionally, at cost, of CLP 3,500 for each 25-kilo bag, equivalent to about $140 per kilo, knowing that some groups spend much more than others. It is used to heat the house through the 3 Bosca wood stoves, for the dining room fireplace, for the hot water tank heater, for the outdoor stoves and even for the grill. In the house we keep a stock of dry firewood more than enough to cover your needs during your stay. If you prefer to use charcoal to make the roasts on the grill, don't forget to bring it. Water: The water network is supplied from its own well that delivers drinking water but somewhat brackish. For drinking and ice making, we have a purified water dispenser that is delivered with the 18-liter drum in use, plus two more as a courtesy. Additional drums that may be required are sold in shops located about a 3-minute drive from the house. Supermarket supplies: We recommend planning purchases before arriving at the house, in Santiago, Llo-Leo or Santo Domingo, knowing that in the vicinity of the house there are several small shops with rather basic supplies, although increasingly stocked. Bedding: The house has all the bedding required for your group. Towels: The house has all the bath towels required for your group. However, guests must bring their own beach towels to use in the hot water jar or for the beach. If you are interested in birdwatching, bring your binoculars. Domestic services: Paola, the housekeeper, also offers her services to work with guests on housework. It should be noted that she cooks very well. She can also coordinate external services for lamb roasts on a stick or guided horseback riding around and to the beach. Pets: The field has 2 tame and friendly dogs.
