Venui Plantation Oceanfront Villa

Architecturally designed oceanfront Villa sitting on the water's edge with stunning views overlooking South Santo Bay and Araki Island. Venui Plantation offers the only accommodation in this part of Santo. You will have access to the entire property which includes a working vanilla and spices farm, cattle, chickens, and a private beach with children's slide and lagoon. The space This family home sits on 100ha on the edge of a vanilla and spices farm and plantation. It is in an idyllic and remote location, perched on a cliffside overlooking the ocean and islands of the South Pacific. You will enter through a private driveway up an undulating hill past grazing cattle on your way to the house, which was originally built around an old banyan tree that has now been repurposed as the base of an internal staircase. The three bedrooms are spread over two levels, the main bedroom is on the mezzanine level of the house with a private toilet and shand basin. There are two single beds in separate rooms along the side of the house and a pull-out sofa in the lounge area near the deck. There is a warm outdoor shower in a small enclosure overlooking the ocean for after beach swims. A vintage outdoor bathtub sits on the front deck with 180 degree views of the ocean. Downstairs there is an indoor warm shower, hand basin and toilet. Excellent eat-in chef's kitchen, well equipped with electrical appliances, quality cookware and tea and coffee facilities. The property is dotted with fruit trees including banana, paw paw and citrus, which you are welcome to sample from. Spacious living area with cross breezes as the house is built with an open aspect, and high ceilings. There is a blue tooth speaker for your music needs. The house is also well equipped with books, a small number of board games, children's toys and complimentary WiFi. There is a Weber gas BBQ available for use on the terrace, and fabulous outdoor and indoor dining areas. Close to the private beach there are four kayaks available for your enjoyment. Linen, bath and beach towels provided. Guest access You are welcome to wander around the entire 100ha property. The plantation is a lovely place to walk at sunset. There are no shops near Venui and it is recommended that you purchase anything you want to eat, drink or wear in town. We can help you with a provisioning service if you would like to have a box of food ready for when you arrive to take down. Please discuss the cost of this service with the manager if you are interested. Other things to note Because it is a working farm, you may occasionally see the farm manager or farm hand wandering around the property, but it is generally incredibly private and it is unlikely that you will see another soul during your stay.
