Oscar's farm - Set on a 6 ha tree farm

This beautiful stone house is tucked away in a lush little valley 2 km from the paved main road. We are mostly engaged in timber and fruit production, but are more than happy to welcome visitors :-) The quiet surroundings and excellent 4G network make it both an ideal holiday and work location. The caretaker's house is 60 m away from the main house, but privacy is maintained at all times. There is no electricity in the village, we generate our own electricity and hot water with solar panels. The space The living space consits of a sitting area, a dining area and an open-plan kitchen. The living space opens onto a terrace on both sides. The house has three bedrooms. Good to know is that one of these bedrooms is only accessible from the veranda and not from the main house. Ideal for those who want a bit more privacy, but perhaps less ideal as a children's bedroom. The house has no real bath 'room'. The spacious shower stands alone and can be reached from the veranda. The same goes for the toilet. The washbasin is also located under the porch roof. (See photos) Other things to note A daily housekeeping service (1 hour per day) is included in your stay. If you’d like additional services such as laundry, cooking, grocery shopping, or extra cleaning, these can be arranged for 200 KES per hour. We also offer meals at a fixed price. If you’d like our cook and housekeeper, Alice, to prepare a meal for you, please let me know at least 24 hours in advance—unfortunately, we can’t take same-day meal orders. Here are the available dinner options: • Fish & vegetables with rice, ugali, or chapati – 950 KES per person • Beef & vegetable stew with rice, ugali, or chapati – 850 KES per person • Chicken & vegetable stew with rice, ugali, or chapati – 1,050 KES per person (minimum order: 2 people) • Vegetable & potato stew (vegan) with rice, ugali, or chapati – 750 KES per person To keep things manageable for Alice, please limit your order to a maximum of two different meal options per dinner. Camping is allowed at a little fee. There is plenty of room for a campfire and a near endless supply of firewood to keep it going all night...
