Stunning architectural home facing a golf course. Home was rebuilt from the ground up in 2006: open, light, modern, clean, with a gorgeous back garden. In Santa Monica, and literally on the border with Venice and hip Rose Ave. Across the street is a public golf course, providing a lovely green view, and is just a couple of blocks from a public park with tennis, basketball, sporting fields, and playground. As the owner, I'm available if needed; I live in a duplex apartment adjoining the main rooms of the house. The house was recently remodeled, so all facilities and appliances are quite new. The house is open and airy. There are three bedrooms, two downstairs which each have a sleeping loft, and the master bedroom upstairs, which floats above the living room -- it has one half wall, from which you can look down on the living room, though it’s shielded from view from below. The house is located in the Sunset Park area of Santa Monica, 2 km from the beach and boardwalk, 3 km from downtown Santa Monica (including the pier and Third Street Promenade) and about 20 km from downtown Los Angeles. It's right across the street from a public golf course -- which gives a nice, green view out the front door -- and just 2 blocks away from a large public park, with tennis and basketball courts, soccer fields, baseball fields, children's play apparatus, etc. The street the house is on leads to a cul-de-sac, a nice place for kids to play safely on roller skates, if they don't wish to go to the park. There is also a wonderful municipal swimming pool with two Olympic-sized pools and shallow area for children just a few blocks away. Coffee shops, restaurants, and the like can be found on Ocean Park Blvd, which is just a few blocks up the hill. A Whole Foods, pharmacy, and restaurants are less than 1 km away. Santa Monica Big Blue Bus stops are about 1 km away on Lincoln, on Walgrove Ave., or on Ocean Park Blvd. Connects to all Los Angeles Metro services, bus and rail. Gardeners come Thursdays to attend to the grounds and they usually put the bins out by the street then. Housekeeping is not included, since every renter has their own needs, but if you wish for housekeeping during your stay, I can provide contact information for my usual housekeeper, whose rate is very reasonable.
