The newly constructed beach cottage is a passive cooling design with an open floor plan set above the shoreline. It is bright and airy! Retractable screen doors allow fresh breezes to flow throughout every room. Or if you prefer, the Cottage has Air-Conditioning. There are also ceiling fans in each room and two 16" portable pedestal fans in the cottage. The wrap around deck provides a comfortable ocean breeze to enjoy the expansive and panoramic views of the outlying uninhabited cays and sandbars. They may be purchased or rented in town. The beach cottage is centrally located on the island making it easy for day excursions, provisioning and nightlife. From the Settlements of Barraterre to Williamstown explore a 40 mile stretch of breathtaking Beaches, Sea Parks and Cays. All accessible by car and boat. Just a short 15 minute drive to George Town, hop a 5 minute water taxi to Stocking Island for lunch and take in one of the most spectacular shorelines in all of the Bahamas. Or, head east and venture to Little Exuma and find many unspoiled stretches of beach and coastline. Head as far east as the famed Tropic of Cancer beach and reward yourself with a Bahamian snack or a refreshment at one of the shore side establishments: Tropic Breezes, Santanas or Blu along the way. Renting a JEEP or SUV is Strongly Encouraged. The Queens Highway is the main road and is in good shape. Side roads start to get bumpy but are all passable and the gravel roads are the same. All in all very easy to navigate the island. Taxis are available and we can provide you with courteous livery services per your request. Your stay is our Priority.
