Come stay in the peaceful, beautiful and historic Thingvellir National Park. We are the only house in the park that offers this unique oppurtunity. We are 3 km from the main visitor center in Thingvellir. You get the experience of staying in a remote place but only about: [*] 35 minutes from downtown Reykjavik [*] 20 minutes from the next stores [*] 75 minutes from Keflavik airport (longer during rush hours). Amazing view over Thingvellir, Lake Thingvallavatn etc. The space Combined kitchen and living room 3 bedrooms 1 bathroom with a shower Guest access We, the hosts, live on the upper floor and are mostly at home. We can show you our horses and answer all your questions (both online and in person). Guests have access to the animals and all the surrounding. A dog on premises all year. Horses in May/June to November/December. Sheep in June to September. Feel free to roam around the farm. You can pet our horses. The horses are often just right by the garden so you can see them out the window or just about 5-10 metres away from the window. 75 minutes drive from Keflavik Airport and 30 minutes drive from Reykjavik. Other things to note The farm is located on the outskirts of Thingvellir National Park. Thingvellir is one of the three unique places in the famous Golden Circle. Many stops on each of them. ‐-------------- Daylight hours: The summer solstice, when the sun peaks and produces the longest day of the year, occurs on June 21. This day offers 21 hour of sunlight and 3 hours of twilight, where the sun sits just below the horizon and delivers lingering natural light. December’s winter solstice offers a mere 4 hours and 7 minutes of daylight. We recommend eye masks from March - October.
