The Hideaway @ The Old Stables

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Recently decorated to a high standard, this cosy loft space sits above our detached double garage on our private property situated at the end of the drive. The Hideaway consisting of a stylishly bedroom/living room, kitchen & shower room situated downstairs. The kitchen area has a kettle, toaster, fridge, microwave ( please note there is no hob or oven), crockery and cutlery and we are more than happy for you to bring food into the The Hideaway The space The Hideaway is nestled in the beautiful countryside of North Essex. The property is ideally located for visiting the historic Roman town of Colchester, walking in the local county side or visiting one of the many local beaches. Ardleigh is a stones throw from the beautiful Dedham Vale / Counstable country, where you can enjoy walking along the riverside, shopping in the many craft shops or enjoying a cream tea in wonderful surroundings. Guest access The Hideaway is solely for you on your stay, you have private access to the property via its own entrance door situated at the rear of the double garage. We have a small field opposite The Hideaway, planted out with fruit trees and hedging, where you will find a table & chairs set out for you to sit, relax and take in the countryside. Other things to note Access to The Hideaway is through the gate positioned between The Cartlodge & The Hideaway, a key safe is located at the rear the the double garage, the code is given to guests when they book accommodation. The keys to The Hideaway are in a key lock box, situated on the wall by the entrance door. The WiFi code & password is in The Hideaway handbook, but as we are in a rural location the WiFi can be a little hit and miss. Please note that the accommodation has a height restriction in the eaves and I wouldn’t recommend anyone over 6” 1” staying, although you would be more than welcome to stay. The Hideaway has one double bed, no sofa bed and is not suitable for infants or small children, as we do not have a stair gate. Please note we do NOT except pets.
