We have a large loft area, with a private full bath. It is the whole upstairs in my house. There is no door between the upstairs and downstairs. There is a comfy couch, loveseat with two recliners & a large TV. There are two California Twin Beds pushed together making a King size Bed. We have a stair chair to get up the steep stairs. We have two dogs and a cat & a great backyard with a tiny pond. Our little stone cottage was built with river rock in the late 1800's-early 1900's. We would like to pursue it's being added to the National Register of Historic Places eventually. Currently it is listed as "noteworthy" for it's architecture in the Tippecanoe County Interim Report of Historic Buildings and Places! There is a code on the front door and you can come and go as you please. We invite you to enjoy our deck and back yard as well as the Loft. You are welcome to play with the boys, (Baron and Louie G.) but they are not allowed to leave the yard without a friend or relative. We will be around, but not intrusive. We can gate the stairwell so Baron and Louie G. cannot get up to bother you, but it's a bit of a challenge to keep Delilah away! She is a bit skittish around folks she doesn't know, hopefully that will keep her at a comfortable distance. Our neighborhood is called New Chauncey Neighborhood. It is a combination of families and students living and working together. According to Wikipedia New Chauncey takes it's boundaries mostly from the original town of Chauncey or the Kingston and Chauncey villages which were founded in the 1860's. In 2002, New Chauncey Neighborhood was added to the National Register of Historic Places! Also, the Purdue Airport is less than 3 miles away. There is a great deal of foot traffic past our house and a nearby bus stop. We are walking distance from Purdue University. We have a coded lock on the front door to allow ease of entry and exit. The loft is stocked with a Keurig with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. There are packaged snacks, a tiny fridge with cold water and space for a small amount of food you may need to store. I will have fresh fruit, instant oatmeal, cheerios, and muffins or Danish for breakfast. The washer and dryer are not available unless you are staying a week or more. The grill is not included, but if I am home, and you let me know you would like to use it, I will accommodate most requests as I am able. I am family friendly, however my stairs are steep and a potential hazard for small children and older folks. I have gates to block the top of the stairwell, but want you to be aware of the inherent danger of mixing small children.
