Large dining area with open kitchen is perfect for your whole family to eat together. Family room area is right off the dining room with vaulted ceiling. A pavilion is available in the backyard to rent for an extra fee. Main floor includes master bedroom suite and family bedroom that sleeps six. Upstairs has 3 more bedrooms. Our Brickhouse can handle a crowd with 3 accommodating floors. There are beds to sleep 18 in the 5 bedrooms, 2 on the main floor with a king suite & a family bedroom with 2 queen beds & a set of twin bunk beds. A full handicap accessible bathroom with a walk- in shower is right off the kitchen. Upstairs there are 2 full bathrooms with tub/shower enclosures in both. The 3 upstairs bedrooms consist of another king suite with its own full bath and walk in closet, a queen bedroom with a crib and another family bedroom with a queen bed and 2 sets of twin bunk beds. Main floor dining area with 3 tables and chairs to feed a crowd and a roomy well equipped kitchen. Open vaulted ceiling family room with 2 couches and TV to relax or play games. The basement is an open room with a sitting area to chat, play or sleep with a futon and pull out sofa or use the play area & enjoy a game of air hockey. There is another full bathroom with a walk-in shower & a guest laundry room. Relax, play or cook outside (charcoal grill) in the backyard space with afternoon shade. Welcome to our Brickhouse in Nauvoo! In the basement: Guest Laundry, air hockey and kids play corner with toys in closet. The Brickhouse is part of the Hyrum Kimball Village which is comprised of both historic and new homes. Ours is a newer home located less than one mile east of the Nauvoo Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and the Family Search Center. We are less than a mile from the Nauvoo Temple and just off Mulholland Street which is the "main" street though town. Nauvoo is a very 'walkable' town. There are several interesting shops, art galleries and eating establishments within walking distance. Rentals featuring golf carts and Go-Karts are available one block from the Brickhouse. Cruz Bike Rentals are also available to rent at the Market Place in the center of town. The Historic Village is a bit of a walk, but these rentals will be a great options for those that are up for it. Otherwise there are designated parking lots at the Historic Visitors Center and in the Historic Village. The River Walk is a paved nature trail along the Mississippi. It is a lovely path with signs about the river and wildlife and some fun hidden fairy houses tucked in. The Nauvoo State Park, Pioneer Burial grounds, and cemeteries are all nearby as well as two local Vineyards. Check out the pamphlets in our guestbook or stop by the Nauvoo Tourism office downtown! You are within walking distance of Nauvoo shops and eateries. Also there is an indoor pool less than a block away at the Inn at Old Nauvoo. If purchased through us you can get the Nauvoo “friends” discount for $5 and swim in their refreshing family friendly pool. Check with Maureen to have your pool passes waiting for you when you arrive. Pool hours 8 am-9 pm.
