The Ryokan is a private space of 600 square feet with an indoor Cedar Sauna within your room. This is a working sanctuary so the owners and our Great Pyrenees do stay on the property. This is an authentic BB, an airbnb where you might see me as we work here and manage the two acres. The Akari Flower Café + Tea House is on the property and is open to clients and customers coming. This is a Nature Sanctuary. The Koi Whisperer Sanctuary was selected for a major photo film shoot for a Home & Garden Design Catalog and many engagements and weddings. We are honored that they have selected our Sanctuary and we look forward to even more film shoots now that the Akari Tea House on the Fox River was re-designed and restored in September, 2024. Please know the entire 6,000 square foot Hillside Ranch Home is NOT for your stay alone. Although you will have much privacy… this is an experience of staying here within the beauty and stillness of nature at the Koi Whisperer Sanctuary and experiencing our Zen Living by design lifestyle brand M created. Akari Flower Café + Tea House is open for other clients to book and experience and is located on the garden level as is your Nature Ryokan Spa. The Nature Ryokan Spa is on the main level of the Japanese Gardens with entrance on the side of the property through the Black Gate where you have your own Keyed Entrance, and Private Velvet Drapes in your Ryokan Spa in your Meditation Room. The full Cedar Sauna is within your Ryokan and adjacent to the walk in Shower. Breakfast with Muffins, Croissants and Waffles are provided for you to have at your convenience. ++ You have access to the Café Kitchenette with a Full Refrigerator where you can warm up your food in the microwave or toaster oven. Full Course Cooking Meals is not permitted and we do not offer the space to do so as the Kitchenette has one counter only. **Smoking cigarettes, Drugs or Marijuana is not allowed in our airbnb , the Mindfulness Center, Japanese Gardens or Akari Tea House. Cigarette smoking is allowed ONLY on the front driveway entrance. Burning fires of any kind is not allowed outside, by the river or inside. Fireplace is for decor only. Guest access We welcome your arrival at the Japanese Courtyard front entrance. Guest verification with the Host of a valid photo ID, DL or Passport is required. Our outdoor slate patios including the Enso (Circle) deck cantilevering over the Koi pond and Japanese Gardens and relaxing outside the Buddha Tea House on the Fox River are all for your enlightening experience within nature. You are welcome to bring a water Kayak or Canoe to enjoy the Fox River! You have the entire space privately for you. The Ryokan, the Mindfulness Center and the Kitchenette as well as the entire outdoor areas are for your experiences. M will meet you in the courtyard and give you a quick tour to your Ryokan. Being an Airbnb with breakfast, M will set up the area early each morning for you with a variety of breakfast selections including fresh fruit and croissants. ** This is private for two guests and no other fiends or family members can visit you during your stay.
