The Koi are the focus of the Sanctuary set within a nature preserve. We are the premier destination for those seeking Japanese design for gardens, Koi ponds, forestry. wildlife, birds and the beauty that connects us here on the Fox River. The space This is a working sanctuary so the owners and our Great Pyrenees do stay on the property.. The Akari Flower Café + Tea House is on the property and is open to clients and customers coming. This is a Nature Sanctuary. The Koi Whisperer Sanctuary was selected for a major photo film shoot for a Home & Garden Design Catalog and we have had many engagements and intimate weddings. We are honored that they have selected our Sanctuary and we look forward to even more film shoots now that the Akari Tea House on the Fox River was re-designed and restored in September, 2024. **Smoking Cigarettes, Vaping, Drugs or Marijuana is not allowed in our airbnb , the Mindfulness Center, Japanese Gardens or Akari Tea House. Cigarette smoking is allowed ONLY on the front driveway entrance. Burning fires of any kind is not allowed outside, by the river or inside. Fireplace is for decor only. Guest access We welcome your arrival at the Japanese Courtyard front entrance. Guest verification with the Host of a valid photo ID, DL or Passport is required. Our outdoor slate patios including the Enso (Circle) deck cantilevering over the Koi pond and Japanese Gardens.
