A one of a kind retreat for the body and mind. Relax and pamper yourself with all the wellness and spa amenities. IF A DATE IS BOOKED MESSAGE ME Enjoy the hot tub, cold plunge, sauna, massage table, MIRROR gym, massage recliners, VR headset, weighted blanket, in room TV, guest only bathrooms, breakfast, free use of fat tire E-bikes, E-scooters, SUPs, LGBTQ friendly A choice location at the mouth of Ogden Canyon, near by ski resorts, ski bus pickup, waterfalls, trails, and historic downtown. THIS IS TRULY A ONE-OF-A-KIND AIRBNB With all the extra amenities you’ll find here, I believe this Airbnb is truly the BEST OVERALL VALUE for a "Private Room in a Shared home” anywhere in the United states. No other Private Room in a Shared house even comes close to having the number, and variety of additional amenities you’ll find here. Try this, do a nationwide search for, “Private Rooms" in a "shared house". Enter all the Airbnb listed amenities I offer. You’ll find very few, if any properties that match up. Now consider all the additional, unique amenities in the home, and the recreational amenities, that allow you to get out and explore the area like a local, and you’ll see there really is nothing like this Airbnb anywhere. TOP TIER AMENITIES Here's a list of some of the one-of-a-kind amenities, available for my guests. These fun extras enhance the positive guest experience, both at home, and out and about the Ogden area. These extra amenities allow my guests to live and explore the community and many of the unlimited outdoor recreational opportunities just like a local. YEAR AROUND AMENITIES Over the years, guests often mentioned that staying in my home felt a bit like being at a private spa. Building on this boutique spa theme I’ve gone all in and added an inclusive spa room with gym. The spa room has a 4-person dry sauna, massage table, a “MIRROR” work out mirror with personal trainers, adjustable free weights and kettle ball, bands, steps, mats, and a treadmill. There are also massage oils, aroma therapy, music, and a watercooler with fresh local mountain spring water in the spa room. In addition to the Spa room, you can also enjoy the pool, hot tub, massage recliners, hand, foot, and face massagers. I hope you’ll find my place to be a one-of-a-kind oasis where you can relax and pamper yourself unlike any other Airbnb you’ve stayed. * IN HOME PERSONAL MASSAGE I work with two professional licensed sport massage therapists that will come to my home when guests want to book a one of a kind in home spa experience. Heather and Camille are fully licensed Massage Therapists. They’ll meet you in the spa room, listen to your needs, then deliver an amazing, personalized individual or couples deep tissue massage. The highly competitive rates for in-home massages are: $80 for 60 min, $110 for 90 min, and $150 for 120 mins. You’ll make payment directly to your therapist at the time of your massage. Outdoor massages are now also available. You can schedule your massage to be done outdoors, at times when it’s not too hot or cool, on the private and intimate Hot Tub patio. If you’re interested in scheduling your massage outdoors, please LMK in advance. After a long day of travel, exploring the outdoors, or skiing one of our two world class resorts, it’s hard to find a better way to end the day then putting on a comfy robe, relaxing in the sauna or soaking in the hot tub, then enjoying a private in-home massage. Access to an in-home massage takes this Airbnb to the next level of pampering and is just one more unique amenity you’re unlikely to find at any other Airbnb. *TWO SHIATSU FULL BODY MASSAGE RECLINERS / FOOT MASSAGER / HAND MASSAGERS / EYE MASSAGER Not all guests will have a chance to book time with one of my massage therapists. I want all my guests, however, to be able to relax and enjoy a soothing massage experience. To help achieve this goal, I’ve installed TWO, totally awesome full body, zero gravity, heated, shiatsu, massage recliners. In addition to these recliners, you can also focus on your feet, hands, and face, with several other additional massage amenities. Now, if you can’t get a couples massage, at least you can enjoy a “couples massage recliner” experience. *NEW THIS YEAR! *OCULUS VIRTUALITY REALITY HEADSET Now, as you relax your body in one of the two message recliners, you can put on the virtual reality headset, choose a meditation experience and take your relaxation to a new level of total emersion relaxation. This is a one of a kind total mind body experience not to missed. In addition to the meditation/relaxation experience, guests can also use the headset to play games and explore other experiences in the virtual world. NEWEST ADDITION TO THE SPA ROOM *A LULULEMON - HOME GYM Guests can now enjoy a full gym workout with a personal trainer, using the Mirror Gym and a variety of available weights. From absolute beginner to advanced expert, you’ll find classes specifically designed for any skill level. You can filter options to best meet your interests for the type of class you would like to participate in. You can also select and join a live class, or for an additional fee, book your own personal trainer to run you through a workout. * A FLEET OF FAT TIRE E-BIKES I offer all my guests the use of five fat tire electric bikes. These way cool e-bikes are designed to be ridden on pavement, dirt, or snow. These all-season fat tire e-bikes make it possible for guests to really get out, year around and explore the area like a local. The bikes have locks, lights, and tracking, and always draw attention when you’re traveling around town. These attention stealing E-bikes go 25 mph and allow guests to explore the foot hills or the beautiful Ogden River Parkway, just a couple blocks from my home. This tranquil, 12-mile-long paved parkway begins at the mouth of Ogden canyon, near an unexpected roadside waterfall and natural riverside hot springs. The trail follows the winding Ogden River through downtown Ogden, the confluence with the Weber River, south past historic Fort Buenaventura, the site of an original trapper’s outpost, and finally ending up in Riverdale. *ELECTRIC STAND UP SCOOTERS These snappy scooters have a top speed of 20 mph, and a range of 28 miles. There’s plenty of juice for an afternoon exploring the Ogden River parkway, catching a Saturday farmers market or just tooling around the historic downtown and grabbing a bite to eat. Each scooter has front and rear lights, LED running lights, shocks, larger wheels, they fold up for easy carrying, and have a helmet. * ELECTRIC CAR CHARGING Guests driving an electric vehicle, with their own cables if not a Tesla, can charge at my home for no additional cost. Tesla drivers may use my charging cable. * THE TESLA EXPERIENCE If you've never experienced an electric vehicle, especially a Tesla, you’re in for a real treat. If we can coordinate schedules, I’ll show you around the car and take you out for a ride in a Tesla Model 3 long range dual motor, the leading electric vehicle in the world. The first thing you’ll notice is the clean, bright, minimalist appearance and open design of the interior, its unlike anything you've ever been in before. You'll get the chance to see up close all the industry leading technologies, feel the neck snapping speed, torque, and control, and experience its self-driving capabilities . You’ll learn about all the security and safety features that make this the safest car ever built. SUMMER AMENITIES *STAND UP PADDLE BOARDS AND KAYAK I love to hook my guests up with all the gear they’ll need to get out on the water and really experience this fun local’s activity. 6 - SUP boards, for a variety of weights and skill levels 1 - Two-person kayak 1 - Two person, couples or family SUP board. I’ll outfit guests with an inflatable paddle board, paddle, life vest, electric pumps, picnic cooler, and a dry bag for phones and keys. These super fun inflatable boards allow guests, driving any size car, to easily get out on one of the two nearby lakes, the closest being only 10 mins. from my house. The other lake is limited to paddle sports only. This lake is a local’s secret and has no beaches. Everyone hangs out on their boards or kayaks, which is why I send you out with picnic bags. This second mountain lake offers guests both tranquil views as they explore pine covered canyons, and excitement hanging out in the bay watching people jump from 30-40' high cliffs, listening to music, and enjoying a snack on the water. WINTER AMENITIES * Ski resorts I've been on the ski patrol at Powder Mountain, SKI Magazines 2023 #1 rated ski resort in North America, and the largest ski resort in the country, for 39 years. I'm also happy to offer an expert’s pointers, on where to find some of the best powder stashes on the mountain. If our schedules line up, we may even be able to spend time together on the mountain. When I can, I enjoy taking guests out for a little personal tour of some of my favorite hidden lines. I’ll show you how to read the mountain and conditions so you can find the best snow conditions yourself, just like the locals. Skiers and boarders can also easily get to Snowbasin from my home. Snow Basin was the home of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, premier downhill events. Snowbasin is also SKI Magazine’s 2023 #2 rated ski resort in North America. Both resorts are just a short 25 min trip, from my driveway to the resort parking lots. * SNOW SHOES If you're looking for a slower paced winter activity, I can set you up with snowshoes, for a more tranquil winter nature experience. Depending on conditions, you can get out on the nearby trails, forest service lands, or the Ogden Valley Nordic center. *WINTER SNOW TUBING Ogden is a 4-season town and we usually have snow on the ground for tubbing in the area parks from Christmas through mid-February. There are also some fun tubbing spots, later in the year, higher up in the mountains. I’ve purchased four, large adult size snow tubes for my guests to use. Now you can get out like a local and relive those childhood winter memories of playing on your favorite winter tubbing hills. If snow tubbing wasn’t a childhood memory, why not get out in the snow this trip and make some new winter memories? ***NOTICE*** GUESTS WHO CHOOSE TO USE ANY OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED RECREATIONAL EQUIPMENT ACKNOWLEDGE, BY THE ACT OF TAKING THE EQUIPMENT OUT OF THE HOME, THAT THEY ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING TERMS. I'm also the closest Airbnb to the final two UTA SKI BUS stops going to both Snow Basin, and Powder Mountain. I really do live in a special little spot. Whether you’re passing through for the night, extending your stay after having seeing all there is to do here, or have planned ahead and made this your recreation destination, you won’t be disappointed with your decision to stay in Ogden, and in this special Airbnb. My home is so simple to get to. Take the 12th street exit off of I 15 and head straight east toward the mountains and Ogden Canyon. You'll also find a grocery store, gas station, and sports rental store, just a block away. SHARED SPACES Guests have full access to all shared areas in the home, both upstairs and down. There are two kitchens, two comfortable living rooms, a large sun room with a big screen TV, spa room, and hot tub. There’s also a deck off the sunroom that sits alongside a 24’ above ground swimming pool, large enough to swim laps. (Memorial Day thru Labor Day). On the other side of the sunroom is a very private fenced patio with a 6-person hot tub. I also provide plush Turkish cotton robes and towels for my guests to use after soaking in the hot tub. On the private hot tub patio is an outdoor TV, tub side. You can watch live TV, Amazon, or Netflix as you enjoy your soak out under the stars. Out front you'll find the newest addition to my outdoor living spaces, a third patio with stunning views of the mountains, there’s music, a stylish tower propane heater, and corn hole game. This spot is a favorite of guests to take coffee or breakfast in the morning, or to relax on in the evening with a drink or dinner. I encourage guests to enjoy all the outdoor areas and taking dishes outside is not an issue. As part of my home security system, I’ve installed cameras around the exterior of the house. If you would like the hot tub camera disabled for privacy, just ask. Each bedroom has a programable entry lock so you can secure your room when you’re not home. There’s also a hotel style latch on the inside door for extra security when you’re in the room. In the winter there are three wood burning fireplaces to use, where you can cuddle up and watch TV, or just enjoy a hot drink and read a book. I also provide ski and snowboard storage, and boot and glove dryers. The home has high speed WIFI, along with Cable TV, Netflix, & Amazon TV. Breakfast is provided daily including fresh fruit, breads, bagels, pastries, oatmeal, cold and hot cereal, breakfast bars, pop tarts, waffle maker, yogurt, coffee, cappuccino, espresso, tea, juices & milk. PERSONAL SPACES My home has four bedrooms available for guests to book, this reservation is for 2 guests in the Glacier Park themed bedroom, the first room on the left upstairs. If you have additional guests in your group, I may be able to accommodate them in another room if one is open. If not, they can stay on a queen size air bed in the sunroom. Extra guests, after the original two, will only be charged 1/2 the original room rate. The bedroom has a very comfortable queen size bed with a new memory foam mattress. The bed is comfortably wrapped in fresh high thread count sheets, and “My Pillows” to provide you the best possible night’s sleep. The bed is also covered with a “Weighted Blanket”. This heavy, comforting blanket has been shown to reduce stress, and facilitate a deeper night’s sleep. Each room comes furnished with a granite topped dresser, night stands, luggage stand, full length closet dressing mirror, fresh spring water, and an in room flat screen smart TV with cable, Netflix and Amazon TV. I’ve also supplied the room with an Amazon Dot, enhanced speaker and charging cables for IOS and Android phones. The Dot, with "Alexa", allows you to set an alarm, access the internet, or play your favorite music. You'll find fresh towels in your room, and the showers have a dispenser with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. The bathroom is only shared if there is another guest on your level, otherwise it's all yours. You’ll also have access to the other bathroom if there ever was a backup at the bathroom. I’ve tried my best to anticipate your needs and wishes, but if I’ve missed anything please let me know. I hope you’ll find this Airbnb to be one of the funnest, most thought out, well appointed, and amenity packed Airbnb’s you’ve ever come across. The welcome message I’ve placed over the entryway to my home truly encapsulates my aspersions as an Airbnb host and is my motivation to share my home, and the things I’ve been blessed to enjoy, with others. "WELCOME, MAY ALL WHO ENTER AS GUESTS, LEAVE AS FRIENDS”. I hope to see you soon. Ron You'll have access to the whole home, with use of the kitchens with included breakfast, office work space, living and family rooms, washer and dryer, swimming pool (summer), Hot tub, (year around) Sauna/Spa room, and on and off street parking. As a life long resident of Ogden I’m happy to introduce you to the city and all the recreational opportunities near by. As a local, I know all the best locations to explore, ski, hike, paddle board, swim and play, just ask. My home is located at the epicenter of Northern Utah’s greatest outdoor recreational opportunities, while still being near all the benefits of a nice sized city. You'll find getting here is easy with no turn, straight in access from the freeway. This a great place to stay if you are just passing thru. If you stay a little longer, you'll find that outdoor and indoor activities abound. The distances to a wide variety of recreational opportunities from my home are measured in feet, not miles. Remember a mile is 5,280'. If you are looking for slower paced experiences there are secluded riverside nature trails 735’ away. There are miles of paved pedestrian parkways for walking, skating or biking only 1,405’ away. The Eccles dinosaur park for children, and other parks and Gardens are 1,184’ away. If you want views of the valley, there are miles of mountain trails to wander and the trail heads are only 3,725’ away. If you are looking for more excitement and hard charging fun, you’ve found the place. I can point you toward miles of mountain biking trails for all levels, with two trail heads only 3725' away. There are a wide variety of hiking trails for all levels of hikers, from flat traverses through stands of scrub oak, climbs through the pines, and trips all the way up a challenging scramble to the summit of 9,500 ‘ Mt Ogden. All of these hikes take off from the trail heads at the mouth of Ogden Canyon only 3,725 feet away. The foot hills provide the perfect venue for experiencing a memorable fiery Utah sunset, as the sun drops in the west across the wide expanse of the Great Salt Lake and desert mountains in the distance. If you are interested in seeing animals, you can drive among the bison (buffalo) at Antelope Island State Park in the middle of the world famous Great Salt Lake, just a 30-40 min drive away. If you want a more wild animal experience, and drive a SUV, I can guide you to mount Ben Lomond and one of the largest heard of mountain goat in Utah. The views at 9,000' are amazing and you can see into Idaho, Nevada, Wyoming and south past Salt Lake City. I’ve also backpacked much of the High Uintas Wilderness Area, 1.5 hrs away. If you want I can help set you up to get into a wilderness backpacking experience. Looking for water fun? The Ogden River is right here for fishing, tubing or kayaking and only 1,130 ‘ away at the end of the street. Pine View reservoir is only 7 miles up Ogden canyon, a 10 min drive, where fishing, swimming, paddle boarding, boating, and jet skiing are all available. Another 15 minutes past Pine View is Causey reservoir. This is a great lake for paddle boarding and kayaking through the narrow canyons, as no motorboats are allowed. This is also a fun place for cliff jumping. Im happy to provide the paddle boards or kayak, coolers for lunch, and dry bag for your camera. Are you here to ski and board Utah’s world famous “GREATEST SNOW ON Earth”? Powder Mountain, the largest ski area by acreage in the United States, is only a short 18 mile drive up scenic Ogden canyon, and Snow Basin, the home of the 2002 winter Olympic downhill events is just 17 miles up the same canyon. I’ve been on the ski patrol at Powder Mt. for 39 years. If you want a true local’s perspective on where to go to find the best hidden stashes of fresh powder I can hook you up. If we can coordinate our schedules, I may even be able to give you a personal tour to some the best “locals only” secret stashes of our famous Utah pow. If you need to get equipment for your adventures, Level 9 sports is only 1.600’ away providing rentals for Mt. and road bikes, Alpine and XC ski, snowboards, snowshoes, paddle boards and kayaks. Ogden is a quiet outdoors town with a ton of history. Historic downtown, is filled with a variety of arts and entertainment choices. Theaters, studios, Gyms, climbing walls, flow rider and indoor sky diving can all be found at the Junction just 2 miles away. There’s also a wide variety of dining opportunities at the junction, along historic 25th street, and on Washington Blvd. The Union station, once one of the largest rail transportation hubs in the west sits at the end of historic 25th street, and houses an interesting railroad, antique car, and the Browning arms gun museum. On Saturdays from May through October, 25th street closes down for a farmers and artists market. There are a lot of things you can do within walking or biking distance from my home. For the others you will want to drive, or in some cases use public transportation or Uber/Lyft which is readily available. If your driving, I have room to park on the left side of the driveway, if it’s open, or on the street DIRECTLY IN FRONT of the house. The UTA Ski Bus, which goes to both Powder Mountain and Snow Basin, picks up less than two blocks from my house. From my home it’s possible to do your entire ski vacation completely relying on public transportation and Uber/Lyft. SLC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO MY HOME. Ride Trax from the airport to the Front Runner stop. Take the Front Runner train to the Ogden City station. From the Ogden train station get an Uber to my house, approx. $6 - $8. Walk to the SKI BUS stop, approx. 1.5 blocks and catch the bus to the resort. $5 each way. My house is the closest Air BnB property to the last two ski Bus stops in town. Although this is a quiet and safe neighborhood, I have installed additional security measures for yours, and my security and piece of mind. The home has secure keyless access provided through an August Wi-Fi door lock. No keys to lose or return! You can lock and unlock the door with your smartphone or keypad at the front door, using a unique virtual key issued to you for the duration of your stay. Upon confirming your reservation you will be sent an email requesting that you down load the August app. Please download the app and follow the instructions to set up your account prior to arriving. When you are at the front porch just open the app and open my keychain. Wait a couple seconds and you will see a pulsing grey circle. When it turns red and stops pulsing, press it, the circle will turn green and the door will unlock. This will give you easy access to the house for the duration of your reservation. See more info in the welcome book in the living room. I've installed a video camera/two way speaker, Ring doorbell at the front door. There are also cameras in the hot tub patio, pool area. If I'm not home when you check in, I will monitor the cameras closely when I know the approximate time you're arriving, to ensure you are able to get in with no problems. I can also open the door remotely if needed.
