Samango. This dwelling is named after the tree that has grown eloquently nearby for about 40 years. It is elevated over the room and provides 1 double bed and a single bed. There are 2 showers and a composting toilet within close proximity. The feature of this room, is it’s beautiful balcony complete with hammock and sofa. The space Rio Muchacho Organic Farm and Eco-lodge offers a unique and ecologically friendly haven for guests to stay, relax, and explore. Our bungalow-style accommodation was constructed entirely from local materials, and we try to prepare all our meals using fresh fruit and vegetables harvested from our own grounds. Unwind in our yoga & meditation garden, spend time investigating the farm's abundance of plants and animal life, watch your kids climb or swing in our playground, or choose from an array of guided tours. Experience coastal Ecuador in a tranquil setting, far removed from the typical tourism tracks. Harvest fresh organic ingredients and prepare a traditional tonga lunch. Horseback ride to a monkey forest, then make your own chocolate. Learn about agro-ecology and permaculture, then contemplate sustainable living while enjoying a medicinal clay face mask. We offer both guided and self-guided activities for our day visitors, as well as multi-day cultural and adventure packages. In our yoga & meditation garden next to the river Muchacho, you can relax, meditate or practice yoga anytime. Surrounded by trees and the sounds of birds you will instantly feel peaceful. We have a craft workshop where we create unique jewelry from tagua (vegetable ivory) or make bowls and spoons from the mate gourd, and lots more! On our self-guided tour, you are given a map of the farm which collocates to our marked spots all around the property. We also offer intensive 1-month or 5-day courses during which you will learn all the secrets of permaculture, agro-ecology, bamboo and local materials construction, arts & crafts workshops, composting, reforestation and gardening.
