Eikedalen cottage near Norheimsund/Hardanger fjord

Eikedalen cottage is a new and modern cabin with all the facilities. large Sauna, possible to rent jacuzzi. The cabin is surrounded by high mountains and a beautiful view. The area offers lots of acitivities such as hiking in the mountains, fjord tours, waterfalls, downhill skiing (ski in/out) and cross country skiing. It is easy access to Norheimsund, Hardanger fjord, Bergen, Voss, Odda, Rosendal and FONNA Glacier Ski Resort if you want to go on a one day tour. Jacuzzi might be avalible. The space Eikedalen cottage is situated high in the mountain and is surrounded by beautiful mountains and a lovely view. The cottage was built in 2015 and has all the modern facilities. Four bedrooms, to baths, a sauna, kitchen and living room, a loft with TV/sitting area and a terrace with a bonfire place. The place offers lots of hiking possibilities in the area. You can go hiking from the cabin and in to the valley of Skeiskvanndalen. Skeiskvanndalen has a little lake where you can go fishing, no fishcard needed. There is also lot of hiking possibilities in Kvamskogen 10 min away with car, like Byrkjefjell, Mødalen. During winter season (late December to late March/beginning of April) you can go downhill skiing (ski in/out from the cabin) or cross-country. Kvamskogen offers a lot of groomed ski runs 10 min away with car where you can ski with your whole family. Only 5 min away with car you can visit the waterfall Fossen Bratte. It is also quik and easy to get to Norheimsund (20 min), Bergen (60 min), Voss (1 h 30 min), FONNA Glacier Ski Resort (1 h 45 min ), Odda (Trolltunga) (1 h 50 min) and Rosendal (1 h 50 min) for a one day excursion. Experience the mighty Steinsdalsfossen waterfall from behind in Norheimsund. In the main street of Norheimsund you will find a number of interesting shops or you can take a hike to the beautiful Krokavatn and enjoy the view over the Hardanger fjord. There is also a little beach in Norheimsund where you can take a swim in Hardanger fjord or just relax. Bergen is surrounded by seven mountains and the norwegians fjords. Things to do in Bergen: visit Fløien, Bryggen, Bergen Aqaurium, Fish market, hiking in the mountains, shopping, Fjord Tours and Cruises. Voss is an all year destination, with things to do and see year round. Try rafting in some of the world’s best rivers for river sports, go climbing in the high rope courses or try tandem skydiving above the beautiful fjord landscape. Go skiing in one of our two alpine ski resorts or experience being weightless in our wind tunnel. The natural attractions are many; explore the many waterfalls the nearby fjords and mountains. Hiking season starts in late-June and lasts to October. Folgefonna and Jondal offers a wide range of outdoor activities, with or without skis. Besides the summer ski at Fonna, the most popular activity at Folgefonna is glacier hiking. Folgefonni Breførerlag offers guided glacier walks and the most popular day tour starts at the ski resort and runs south-west to Juklavassbreen glacier arm. In close proximity to Jondal you can experience guided kayak tours, via ferrata trails, zip-lines and rock climbing. There is a well marked trail network in Jondal, with the best starting point in Krossdalen, a 10min drive from Jondal. Or as most people do, skiing on the glacier and swimming in the fjord. Surrounded by the fjord, wild nature and eternal ice, Odda is the ideal place for an active holiday. You will find a myriad of hiking trails and endless opportunities. Bicycling, swimming, blueberry picking and fishing! Do a guided glacier tour, climb in Via Ferrata routes, try zip-lining or how about kayaking under Trolltunga? Rosendal is a small village surrounded by majestic mountains, and Norway's only Barony built in the 17th century is located here. From Rosendal you travel to Odda and Lofthus in the Hardangerfjord which offers a landscape of beautiful fruit communities, mountains and glaciers. Guest access You have access to to the whole cabin without 2 storage rooms. Jacuzzi is not available to rent. Other things to note During winter season good winter tyres and four wheels drive are recommended. The snow on the road is cleared by a tractor when necessary. Weather in the winter can change swiftly from heavy snow one day or to a sunny clear day the next day. It is also possible to park at Eikedalen skisenter if you have trouble to get up with the car.
