Shepherd’s hut overlooking 2 reservoirs

Broomhead shepherd’s hut is situated in the beautiful and ancient Broomhead estate in a hidden away corner of the Peak District National Park. It is a really special spot flanked by miles of heather clad moorland. A spell in the hut will be a wonderful respite from the hectic modern world. Come down the winding tree-lined drive, past the pond and over the stream and you will find yourself in a real rural idyll. The space The shepherd’s hut consists of a sleeping area, sitting/dining area with log burner and TV with internet connection, sink, fridge and toilet and shower. Outside we have a fire pit which you can barbecue on, table and chairs and two sun loungers. There’s masses of space – a huge lawn is at your disposal. There is a tennis court, which can be used, although it is a bit weedy. There is also a Swedish wood fired sauna tent and ice bath. However, these can only be used when the owners are in residence. They are to be used at guests’ own risk and are prohibited for those with cardiovascular and blood pressure issues amongst others. They can be used at an extra cost of £40 per session. Guest access Guests are welcome to wander around the garden and grounds although the farmyard is out of bounds. You are most welcome to use our tennis court and our croquet set. Other things to note The owners will provide you with some bread, butter, milk, tea, coffee, and wine. If the owners are in residence, they can offer a full English breakfast at Broomhead Farm for an extra £15 each. Please note that the occasional insect may crawl into the hut. We do our best to remove them when cleaning but cannot guarantee that it will be a 100% bug free environment. If this is a problem, do let us know and we will remove the offending creature!
