Getting around Bayfield is very easy by car, walking or bike. The Seagull Bay is a 10-15 minute walk to downtown. There is downtown parking available, with exception to event weekends. The Madeline Island Ferry runs regularly throughout the late spring, summer and fall and much of the winter dependent on the amount of ice. The BART bus also runs regularly for a small fee, through Bayfield and the Chequamegon Bay Area. The Big Top Chautauqua runs a shuttle for many of their concerts and events.
