The space Our vintage guest cottage has a village and wilderness location on the western arm of Cranberry Lake where the Oswegatchie River flows into the lake. Located on a point across from the historic village of Wanakena, it is a visual favorite for visitors touring the village on shore or by boat. From spring ephemerals through the summer high season to autumn color, this secluded village is an attractive location for your Adirondack vacation. The comfortable 2 bedroom cottage sleeps 4, with two additional daybeds. It has one full bath, a cozy living room, and a very nicely equipped kitchen with dining area. WiFi, washer and dryer. The ample waterfront sitting porch has views down to the dock and across the flow to a wooded shoreline and the village. Great for small group or family vacations. Four kayaks and a canoe available for guest use. Guest access There is parking close to the cottage, a dock suitable for swimming and mooring a boat, a fire ring and grill. Four kayaks and a canoe are available for your use. The house has a washer and dryer. Other things to note May-June is the season for Spring ephemeral flowers. Trillium and Ladies Slipper will be blooming. Ask us about which trails to take for this springtime show in the woods. July-August is high season for swimming and boating. Excellent swimming right off the dock in front of the cottage. Late August - mid October is for us the best season for hiking, since it's a little cooler. The leaves start to turn by mid September, and by the end of the month the woods are a blaze of color. A canoe and four day kayaks are available for your use. About SERVICE ANIMALS: We are aware of the value service animals bring to people, and we are aware of AirBnB's policy of allowing service animals without discrimination unless health and safety becomes an issue. My children suffer from moderate to severe pet allergies and this is our primary living space when not hosting guests. As such we can only welcome non-shedding/no dander companions to our house as we need to guarantee the health of our children.
