You can sit on the Quay or Pier and watch the boats and ferries go by and also see all the container ships in Felixstowe on the other side of the river being loaded and unloaded. You can also walk along the promenade to Harwich beach and continue on the promenade to the famous Dovercourt beaches. Old Harwich is a very historical naval town where the museums and lots of maritime trials and its many attractions. You can also take the ferry over to Shotley and it also goes to Felixstowe and there's also a further service to go and seal watch.
