Two private rooms with separate entrance that sleeps up to 4. Only 1 block to the beach and a 10 min walk to world class restaurants in Manhattan Beach. FUN! (Please note we do not allow pets including service animals due to severe allergies and associated health risks with a pet being on our property) The space PLEASE read our entire posting before requesting a stay with us, thanks. Wake up in the morning to the sound of crashing waves and if the wind is blowing just right the smell of the ocean. Although there are no ocean views from the space we are just a block to the beach (if you are a surfer 35th St. currently has the best break in Hermosa) and just a 10 minute walk into downtown Manhattan Beach. On the first level of our family home we have a private two room space with a side door entrance allowing you to come and go anytime. The two rooms are set up as a bedroom and a living area with a pull-out couch that accommodate up to four adults; for a comfortable place to rest while enjoying all the great advantages of "Beach Living". The living space has a 48" TV with Verizon/Frontier Fios Quantum, kitchenette including a microwave, small two burner stove top, toaster oven, sink, and small refrigerator. It's not a chefs kitchen but it can help you save some money on a few meals!! That said we have great restaurant choices just a few blocks away. One room is a bedroom with a very comfortable queen size bed. The other room is set up as a living/dining space with 48" HDTV Cable, WiFi, kitchenette. The couch pulls out to a full size mattress for sleeping arrangements for another two adults or kids. People, mostly from the east coast, have been asking me about air conditioning quite a bit lately so I will address it here. SoCal beach summer weather is not like the east coast summer weather. We don't have the humidity and it rarely gets HOT!! Summer temps are in the mid 70's and there is normally a nice breeze. Remember you are staying downstairs from where we are living and should know we get going around 5:30-7:00am in the morning and although we practice "quiet feet" you are staying right below us and will hear us softly getting around like you would in any home. At night we try to have our kids in bed by 10:00 but don't be surprised if there is still some light shuffling of feet after that. We enjoy answering questions about the area, and giving advice about the best restaurants and places to check out in town. The best part about our spot is there's nothing you will need that you can't walk to. Just a block to the west to get sand on your feet and sun on your face. Stroll ten blocks north and you will be in the heart of downtown Manhattan Beach which supplies wonderful shopping, nightlife and world class restaurants. Walk south for a while and you will find yourself at Hermosa Pier, full of more wonderful shops bars and restaurants. A short walk away is a big open air park with swings, slides and all sorts of things to climb, lovingly named "caterpillar park"; the official name is Valley Park but when you get there you will see why our kids renamed it. Our favorite mode of transportation is a nice pair of sandals, followed by beach cruisers. Taxis are always around if you want to get away from the beach but why would you want to get away from the beach? We are about 5 miles south of LAX, about a $30 Uber. Please no smoking or pets. Guest access The first floor of our home is what we are sharing with its own private entrance, it has two rooms and a bathroom. There is a kitchenette in the living space that has a stove top, microwave and refrigerator although small capable for meal prep. We try to be as flexible as possible for check-in/checkout times so please email/text in advance with your requests and we will try to accommodate. We have hardwired working smoke detectors throughout the house. Other things to note If you are interested in staying with us please have a few AirBNB verifications, this is our home and we want to know that some screening has been done. Please provide your first and last name at time of request or at least be prepared to before confirmation of a reservation; if that seems unreasonable to you before staying in our home please don't request to stay. We depend on a open and honest environment for this to work for both parties.
