Norwegian Cabin Hiking Relax
Escape to Nature Immerse yourself in the serene beauty of the Poconos at our charming log cabin retreat. This cozy cabin was built in the 1940s using logs transported from California, imbuing it with a rich history and authentic rustic character. Nestled on a sprawling 1.5-acre property, surrounded by a lush forest teeming with towering trees, majestic wildlife, and endless opportunities for adventure. Wake up to the sights and sounds of nature - playful deer and curious forest animals. The space The cabin’s main floor living area is furnished with WiFi and a new ROKU TV over a new electric fireplace, a new sleep sofa and Cushman maple end tables, round table and four chairs. The Cushman style maple china cabinet holds a 1940s “California Ivy” dinner set behind the glass doors with cutlery in the drawer. The kitchen has new bottom freezer refrigerator, stove, cabinets, backsplash and soapstone countertop and is well-stocked with pots and pans, oils, spices, utensils, stemware and glassware. The bathroom has new pedestal sink, trifold medicine cabinet, toilet with an EverClean surface and a 32" corner shower and towels for 4, bath mat, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and toilet and tissue paper. The loft is setup into two areas – one as a sleeping area with a full-size bed and maple night tables – the other as a reading/dressing area complete with a Cushman style maple dresser, a stick chair with matching side table, and wall mounted folding clothes racks on either side of the window. Both levels have new, waterproof luxury vinyl plank flooring with indoor/outdoor rugs placed in the main walking areas. As the loft steps are a little steep, and/or some guests may prefer to sleep at ground level, the cabin living room sofa is a full-size Serta "Sits Good - Sleeps Better" convertible sleeper sofa. NO nasty, uncomfortable bar across the bed like most sleep sofas! Tip: Steep steps are easier to navigate if one goes down walking backwards while holding onto the railing. Guest access Guests have full access to the cabin and yard. The cabin is located on a private drive in a small, private community. Just as cabin guests may treasure their privacy, the neighbors ask guests to respect the neighbors' privacy by confining exploring and hiking to the cabin property. The cabin is secluded with the exception of one house on the lot to the right, rear of the cabin. The other three sides of the cabin are surrounded by vacant, wooden lots. Other things to note For safety, the cabin is protected with a motion-activated security camera with built-in floodlights.
