This cosy cottage is perfectly located. From the front bedroom you look into the National Park and from the rear into the Howardian Hills a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. At night you can listen to the owls and gaze up at the milky way or settle down in the comfortable living room in front of the log burner. Surrounded by lovely villages, abbeys, castles, countryside and an abundance of good pubs and restaurants you will be spoiled for choice for things to do. The space The cottage has two double rooms and a single room. The front bedroom overlooks a beautiful garden belonging to a neighbour and the back bedroom overlooks the valley. The living room has a leather sofa, a leather professor chair a dining table with 4 chairs and a log burner. The living room has patio doors to steps down to a sheltered sun trap patio area. The living room faces south so is a sunny light room all day. The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, electric hob and oven along with a washing machine. Other things to note The cottage is 5 minutes drive from Gilling East and the Fairfax Arms a lovely country pub/restaurant. 5 minutes drive the other way brings you to Ampleforth with its 2 good pubs and post office. 5 minutes drive north you can find Helmsley with its shops and pubs. Hovingham, with its bakery and monthly Saturday market, is 10 minutes drive away. Castle Howard is 15 minutes drive away, the National Trust's Nunnington Hall 5 minutes drive away and the famous Black Swan at Oldstead a Michelin Star restaurant is less than 15 minutes drive from the cottage.
