Casa Kolalou: private house in the mountains
This modern, private 2-bedroom house is uniquely and privately located on the western slope of the San Gerardo de Dota Valley, with beautiful views and nothing but nature around. Most furniture and the kitchen are stylishly handmade. The house serves as your base to get to know the unique area of San Gerardo. After an amazing hike to a beautiful waterfall or after birdwatching, take a warm shower, make a drink in the fully equipped kitchen and kick back at the fire place or chromecast a movie. The space Casa Kolalou is approximately 80 m2 and consists of a living room with an open, fully equipped kitchen. A cozy bench, a comfortable chair, a television and a dining table with four chairs provide a cozy atmosphere. The masterbedroom has a double (queensize) bed. The other bedroom has two single beds. There are warm duvets on the beds, because at night it can be cold here at an altitude of over 2000 meters! Bedlinen, towels and kitchentowels are provided. The patio outside has lovely garden chairs and here you can enjoy the beautiful outdoor fire pit. Guest access You need a car to get to San Gerardo de Dota. The road to San Gerardo is asphalted and partly unpaved, but in good condition. The entrance to Casa Kolalou is opposite hotel Suria. The road to the house is quite steep and the last 150m may be challenging for some drivers. There is (free) parking space for two cars at the house. Other things to note Casa Kolalou is completely private and the view from the terrace is breathtaking. There are no neighbouring cottages. You will be able to relax here and enjoy the beautiful nature. There are plenty of dining options in the immediate vicinity. However, there are only few shops in the area, so it is wise to do enough shopping before traveling to San Gerardo de Dota.
