Our renovated 1873 farmhouse has wood floors and antiques, yet offers modern amenities in a homey environment. Like a traditional bed and breakfast, you will stay in our home with us. You will have two private bedrooms and a private bathroom. We will share the living room and kitchen with you. We access our bedroom through the hallway. We provide bathrobes for your comfort. We have a guest room downstairs so we may be hosting other guests at the same time. We also allow pets. We offer a self-service vegan breakfast bar with an assortment of packaged granola bars, nuts, instant oatmeal, dry cereal, fresh fruit non-dairy milk and yogurt, and hot drinks. (In order to meet the health department requirements, we cannot serve a homemade breakfast because we have a well.) Gluten-free options are available. We are located on 64 acres along the Pacific Northwest Trail (PNT), which starts in Glacier National Park and ends at Cape Alava on the Washington coast. We are conveniently located 1 mile from Highway 101. Note: most restaurants are 15-20 minutes away. You will have access to the kitchen and living room--areas that are shared with us and with other guests. Outside, you'll be able to use the wrap-around porch, porch swing, hammock (seasonal), hot tub, the yard, and the nearby woods. We look forward to sharing our home and meeting new people. We will gladly share information about the local area. While we enjoy interacting with our guests, we also respect your privacy. I work from home, so I am usually around, or available by phone or text to assist with any needs or questions. We are located along a county road in a rural area, yet only 1 mile from Highway 101. We are 20 minutes from historic Port Townsend, 25 minutes from Sequim, and 45 minutes from Port Angeles. We are located one mile from the bus stop opposite Discovery Bay store, which is served by Jefferson Transit #8, which runs between Port Townsend and Sequim. If you would like to use the kitchen to cook, PLEASE let me know ahead of time so we can coordinate the use of the space. We want to maintain a plant-based kitchen. Please DO NOT cook meat, fish, or poultry. If you want to eat prepared foods, such as restaurant leftovers that contain meat, that is okay. We do not want any meat, poultry, or fish cooked in our kitchen or on our grill. It is okay to cook eggs, milk, and cheese. Check-in time is between 4 and 9 p.m. unless other arrangements are made. If you'd like to arrive later, you may use self-check-in using the keypad. Quiet Time: Our day begins early, which means we go to bed early. Please do your best to be quiet after 9 p.m. We will do our best to be quiet in the morning so you can sleep in if you want. Pets: We have a fenced yard area for dogs. Please indicate when you book that you are bringing pets. The pet fee is $25. We use natural, unscented laundry soap so linens do not have a strong scent. We use natural cleaning products. We compost and recycle and try to live as sustainably as possible. No smoking. No parties.
