This large, comfortable home is perfect for a family vacation. It's located in a maritime forest in the Beacon's Reach community in Pine Knoll Shores in the southern Outer Banks of North Carolina. It's just a few minutes walk to the beach, where a dune-top observation deck provides beautiful views of sunrises, sunsets and, if you're lucky, dolphins cruising the coast. Beacon's Reach has 2 unlocked outdoor swimming pools (one a 3 minute walk from the house), a marina, and lovely walking trails. The space This split-level house features a large living room adjacent to an open kitchen, dining area and wet bar. The kitchen is equipped for cooking and serving, with a dishwasher, microwave, ice maker, toaster, coffee maker and electric tea kettle. There are 5 bedrooms: two king bedrooms, two queen bedrooms and a fifth bedroom with 2 twin beds. There is a second small den on the lower level with a sofa and second TV, where kids can play games and watch their devices. The house is air conditioned and most rooms have ceiling fans. A shaded back deck and a sunny front porch provide space for outdoor lounging, dining and entertaining. There is a gas grill on the back deck along with patio chairs and tables. In the garage there are beach chairs, 2 beach umbrellas, a beach cart and a wagon available for use. There is a washer and dryer. We provide freshly made beds and bath towels, guests are asked to bring their own beach towels. Guest access The NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and the Theodore Roosevelt Natural Area are just 2 miles east of the house. Fort Macon State Park, at the east end of the island near Atlantic Beach, has miles of walking and biking trails. There are fishing piers in Emerald Isle and Atlantic Beach. Other things to note We are happy to provide bed linens and bath towels, however, we ask that guests bring their own beach towels.
