The villa is surrounded a sprawling 28000 sq feet orchard and garden. It combines modern amenities with old world charm. This large villa offers multiple sit outs, a gazebo, hammocks, swings, arrangements for BBQ & bonfire evenings, a library and a bird feeding station to name a few USPs. We welcome guests who want to relax & enjoy or work from the hills. The space Sanjwat luxurious vacation villa is situated near the Bhimtal lake & about 45 minutes’ drive from Nainital. The palatial villa was built by Naval Commander Jagmohan Sood (recipient of the prestigious Ati Vishisht Sewa medal) who served during the times of the British navy & his wife Kusum Jagmohan Sood & then subsequently renovated and redecorated. Our estate is surrounded by mountain views on three sides, is tucked away in an unfrequented valley and yet walkable distance from the Bhimtal Lake and a short drive to Naukuchiatal. This tastefully furnished 4-bedroom villa spread over half an acre makes for a beautiful getaway spot in the hills. Its indoor spaces invite natural light, keeping the vibe fresh and happy. There are multiple sit outs inside the bun glow and you could choose to read a book at the library, play a board game with your friends and family or listen to music on “Saregama Caravaan” while you sip scotch or have Masala tea. The outdoor spaces comprise of a large private orchard with exotic flowers, fresh fruits and vegetables, a welcoming foyer with a swing, bird feeding station, a bar-be-cue table & a gazebo with cushioned seating where you could play cards or Antakshari or just listen to the birds chirping in the background. BEDROOMS - There are 5 bedrooms - 2 on the ground floor, 2 on the first floor and 1 in the garden. - One room on each floor and the garden room has a TV. - WiFi, latest inverter split air conditioners, heaters, king-sized beds and attached bathrooms are offered in all rooms. - Balconies are attached to the rooms on the first floor. - all bedrooms offer an electric kettle. - 1 room on the ground floor has an attached living area with large glass panels offering beautiful views of the hills and greenery around. - 1 room on the first floor has an attached study/library/ games room. - Garden room has a porche/sitting area BATHROOMS - There are 5 bathrooms in the villa - all attached. - All bathrooms have geysers, towels and basic toiletries. COMMON AREAS - There are 2 living rooms - 1 on the ground floor and 1 on the first floor. - The living room on the ground floor seats 20 people and it offers WiFi, heater and music system. - The dining area seats 8 people. - The orchard spreads over half an acre and is enriched with delicious fruit trees and beautiful flowers. - There are multiple sit out areas including a Gazebo. These are perfect spots for a Workation in the mountains KITCHEN - Guests do not have access to the kitchen. - Equipped with a microwave, a gas stove, an oven, a refrigerator, a water purifier, a toaster and a mixer-grinder. - Crockery and cutlery are available. Guest access - The guests have access to the entire villa. - In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, guests will have restricted access to shared amenities. Other things to note FOOD - We have an inhouse cook to prepare all meals/snacks as per guests' preference. - Ration will be charged as per actuals. Nominal Cartage of 100 Rs per delivery - Guests can also eat out in nearby restaurants like Kita N Gucci, Cafe Latitude, I heart, Belpatra, Aipan Restaurant, Mount Chimney Restaurant & Cafe, Woodpecker Food Plaza, chai etc, brownies bakery, an Italian restaurant and Do Baati Restaurant. STAFF ACCOMMODATION We can provide accommodation for 2 male staff in the outhouse. We can provide accommodation for female staff in the main villa (if using beds then full adult charges apply). ACTIVITIES Within the property, guests can enjoy a peaceful read, play board games or step out to take a walk in the orchids and explore the vegetation. HOME TRUTHS While we do promise you a welcoming home and a great stay, here are a few things we’d like to mention so as to ensure there are no unpleasant surprises later! - The villa is relatively secluded. - This property is not suitable for pets. - Stag groups are not allowed. - In case of a power outage, the generator can support all the appliances for up to 24 hours. - The caretaker stays in the premises of the same property. - Broadband connectivity with speeds upto 200 Mbps high speed fiber with a wifi extender and jio dongles as backup. - All mobile operator connections works fairly well here. ADDITIONAL COSTS - Barbecue evening / nights can be arranged - Bonfire can be arranged. -Accommodation for male staff in the outhouse at an additional charge of Rs.700 per person, per day, twin sharing. - Accommodation for female staff at an additional charge of Rs.1000 per person per day in the main villa. - Any planned events, parties shall be allowed at our discretion.
