The Annex: Private cabin, sauna/spa-like bathhouse

A winter wellness escape! The Annex is a private guest house, cedar barrel sauna and bath house that includes a claw foot tub/shower, and incredible year-round outdoor shower. Do you need some time to yourself, to read, recover or reconnect? Come for some supported rest, to work on a creative project, or just binge on the giant TV. Kitchenette includes coffee/tea/fridge and microwave, fresh baked treats and any other support you need, handmade soaps and a gift card to Foxy Fox Cafe (nearby) The space There's nothing quite like this on PEI, especially in the winter. You won't understand the word "rejuvenated" until you step out of the sauna for a rinse in an incredible rain shower, outdoors in winter under the stars. If bathing outdoors isn't your thing, you can always have a bubble bath and epsom salt soak in the 1912 clawfoot tub in the bath house. The windows are at tub level, so it feels like a soothing soak in nature, even in a snowstorm. We also have two pairs of snowshoes, and 10 acres of woods to explore -- including a marked path, but you are free to roam and explore. A fire pit and chairs just steps from the door provide a chance to stare into a fire or at the stars or to roast marshmallows. Everything you need is here, including a friendly and facilitating host. I can help you plan a romantic weekend, a creative escape, or a digital detox. The Annex was built in 2021 as a guest house for Walden Cabin. It is about 100' away from the main cabin, and completely private. I love it so much here, that I just wanted to share the experience with others. Guest access The Annex is a private separate cabin with queen bed, couch/living room area and kitchenette/porch. Guests have exclusive access to the separate bath house building (just steps away), and to the wood-fired cedar barrel sauna. Other things to note Want a facilitated digital detox?
