Located in Ardèche Verte, our 'L'Ostalet' gîte is rated 4* and labeled a Monts d'Ardèche Regional Natural Park. Isolated and quiet within the 'Domaine de Fontréal' (old fortified house on 19 ha), at an altitude of 800 m. Located on the edge of a hiking trail, it is ideal for lovers of old stones, calm, nature and walks. Shared 16x6 pool from June to early Sept. Bed made for your arrival. Towels and linens are provided. Parking, bike/motorcycle storage. The space This accommodation is composed of 2 spaces connected by a large private terrace for your meals (with table, chairs, wood or charcoal BBQ) In the main area, the highly functional kitchen is open to the dining area and living room. The bedroom is furnished with a 180 x 200 king size bed (separable into 2 90 beds on request), a bathroom with walk-in shower, and separate toilet. The second space is accessed through a small mezzanine living room. The bedroom on the ground floor is furnished with a king size bed 180 x 200 (can be separated into 2 beds of 90 on request), a bathroom with walk-in shower, and separate toilet. The configuration of the cottage (the 2nd bedroom is outside) does not accommodate children. Beds are made for your arrival. If the weather is cool you can enjoy a small fire in the wood-burning stove in the main living room. The 16x6 pool is shared with the other gites (total accommodation capacity maximum 12 people). Guest access The Domaine de Fontréal (place called 'Fontréal') is a former agricultural hamlet transformed into a hamlet of lodgings. It is located 800 meters from the village of St Jean Chambre and 6 km from Chalencon (village of character). Parking is free and on-site. Other things to note On request for an extra charge (€9/person) a homemade continental breakfast is served in the main house. On request at the time of booking or at least 48 hours in advance. Homemade bread, pastries or brioche, homemade pastry, Fontréal pear juice, fresh fruit salad, homemade yogurt, homemade jams, Ardèche honey. Ardèche roasted filter coffee, Selection of organic black and green teas (Terra Etica, Scop Ti, English Tea Shop, Destination brands). On request for an extra charge (€27/person) possibility of table d'hôtes (from 7:30 p.m.): starter, main course, dessert. Everything is homemade and prepared from fresh and seasonal products.
