Warm cottage between Vézelay and Morvan

Come and recharge your batteries in a preserved village of Vézelien, in the heart of a magnificent nature in any season, a few kilometers from Vézelay on one side, and the first mountains of Morvan on the other The cottage occupies the central part of a stone winegrower's house dating from the time of Vauban. It is surrounded by a large sloping garden that used to be a vineyard. Don't hesitate to contact me to discuss the rate, which is indicative but negotiable depending on the length of your stay. The space Absolute calm awaits you: the house is at the end of a cul-de-sac, and apart from the cows and sheep of the surrounding farms, you will hear the permanent song of the birds above all! But the area is full of both natural and architectural beauties, you won't be bored: plenty of opportunities for walks in the Morvan and visits to magical places. Particular care has been taken with ecology, both for renovation and for daily use: phyto-purification for wastewater treatment, Berkey drinking water filter, wood-only heating. In the same spirit, don't expect a French garden, but rather a punk garden, paths are mowed but the majority of the land is left free to grow and accommodate insects. Access is via an unpaved road, but all cars pass very well in first gear, including vans. You will have a good internet connection, whether you want it wired or Wi-Fi, teleworking is quite possible. The cottage is suitable for electrosensitive people: little electrical radiation and no nearby antenna, possibility to cut the wifi. Guest access The cottage is adjoining my home, but the two spaces are completely independent and do not communicate. It has a living-dining room, an open kitchen, two bedrooms, a bathroom and a toilet, part of the garden is reserved for you, including a terrace with table and chairs. Ideal for four, it can accommodate more people, with a little less comfort since there is only one bathroom. Bed layout A double bed in one bedroom In the second bedroom, three single beds, two of which can be assembled to create a second double bed. Sofa bed under the stairs. And some mattresses on the floor if needed. Other things to note The house is well insulated and very comfortable in winter but it is heated only by a wood-burning stove, so you have to know how to make a fire to get warm ;) (but this is easy to learn), and bring in the wood in advance, a little elbow grease is needed. The sanitation system is phyto-purification, these are plants that filter wastewater, the only possible cleaning products are ecological. By renting the cottage you agree not to flush anything other than toilet paper and to use only ecological hygiene, dishwashing and cleaning products in the pipes. I live in the adjoining house and I have several cats that roam the garden and can sometimes sneak in through an open door ;) If you are allergic or do not like cats, this may not be the right place for you. A surcharge will be requested if you recharge your car battery, 10 euros per charge. The base price is for two people sharing a double bed, a surcharge of 10 euros per night is requested if the two people wish to sleep each in a separate room, thank you for your understanding.
