In warmer weather, cook at the mason-built barbecue and serve directly to the deck, or eat at picnic table under the apple tree or on stones by the water. Outdoor folding table allows flexibility to eat outside. There’s plenty of space to cook together indoors or out. A 20 min drive to Bethel Woods, Mountain Dale is a tiny hamlet in the town of Fallsburg, in Sullivan County. The property is 1 mile, (30 min walk or 5 min drive) from Mountain Dale’s hip Main Street which features eateries, shops and activities to delight. You’ll find a few great places: The Dale, High Voltage and Creekbar, Willow and Post, Forge and Gather Market, Cinder Track Bicycles and Mountain Dale Park and Campgrounds. It’s also easy to stay put at the house which has all that you'd need to relax and unwind. Ample opportunities exist to hike, fish, bike, swim and endlessly hop around the many small nearby towns scattered in all directions (Hurleyville, Livingston, Manor, Bethel, Ellenville, NarrowsBurg, White Lake and more) each with its own unique main street, vibe and antique/general stores as well as many delicious eateries and farms-- George Washington Bridge to 4 west to 17 north to 87 to 17 west, to exit 112 or 109 if you need to food shop first, Trading post is right there, at exit 109 exit off 17 west for all of your food and drink needs and a wine shop is next to it. A car is best. 5 min drive to the cool hamlet of Mountain Dale with farm to table breakfast: Forage&Gather and gourmet pizza: The Dale. 20 mins to up and coming village of Ellenville. Holiday Mountain Ski and Fun Park is 10 mins away. Majestic Farm is 5 mins up the road and sells fresh meat as well as U Pick organic apples in fall—a fun nearby farm excursion, they also sometimes have peacocks!
