The living room area has a fold out couch to a queen bed. The kitchen - Refrigerator with Ice Maker, pots, pans, utensils, forks, spoons, knives, plates, bowls, cups, mugs, basic spices . . . virtually anything you need to cook up your own specialty meal and/or make pancakes for breakfast. We stock simple items and condiments for an easy meal upon your arrival and breakfast items for your first morning, we recommend you stop at a grocery store to get your favorites. Bedrooms - bed, pillows, comforter, freshly cleaned sheets, hangers, nightstand, dresser Outdoors there's a backyard fire pit to relax outside and share stories around the campfire, check the cupboard for smore's supplies. Under the shade tree is a picnic table and grill. We recently upgraded to a gas grill check the case/footlocker next to the grill for utensils, grill cleaner and fire proof gloves. So, go out explore the area come home and fire up the grill and have a great cookout. The cottage Wi-Fi Internet is supplied by Comcast Internet Pro service unlimited 500+Mb/sec . There is a wired Ethernet cable on the business-friendly laptop desk. Worry free high speed all for you, no slow down due to sharing the Internet with a hotel filled of guests or metered satellite internet, plenty of speed to stream movies, do Facetime/Meet, stream music and upload photos and videos of your adventures. The main living area has an awesome 4K home theater/sound system, for the techies it's an Atmos Dolby 7.1 surround sound system, just listening to your music streamed from your phone is great, movies are just awesome. You can watch Cable TV through the Xfinity/TiVo input, which has many recorded popular shows. The Cottage has the Apple 4K TV input too. Included streaming services are • Netflix • Paramount + • Pandora • Plex • YouTube Premium • Spotify • Amazon Video • HBO Max You can cast your phone to the TV with Chromecast or Apple AirPlay. There's a small library of Blu-Ray movies for the 4K Blu-Ray/DVD/CD player, feel free to pick up a rental from the local Red box at Walmart or Food Lion. The Cottage is a real home theater/family movie night experience. The Cottage heating and cooling system will allow you to keep the temperatures just right, you can adjust the temperatures at the thermostat or ask for password to control it from the Nest app on your smartphone. In the bathroom it is stocked with towels, there's a full-size washer and dryer to keep your clothes clean, for those guests who like the freshness of outdoor drying feel free to use the clothesline in the yard. We stock the Cottage with enough laundry detergent & dryer sheets for a few days. In the Cottage we ask for a smoke free environment, outside there is a barrel for the cigarette butts. The water is supplied by a well and filtered, although we provide a filtered water pitcher feel free to taste the clean water from the tap. The term "The Cottage" is a kind of tongue-in-cheek name my Dad gave to this transformed garage, it's really just a cool efficient space for up to six people. Our goal is to provide a true "home away from home" experience, like "I feel at home here" (even if it's just for a few days) During your stay it's your house, we will knock on the door and will not enter when you leave during your stay. We have had more than a few first time Airbnb guests and you can see from our reviews we are getting closer to the "Home away from home" goal. When you arrive, we've had guests drive from distant locations, there are some snacks and beverages in the refrigerator and cabinets, in the morning time feel free to make some delicious pancakes! I have a full-time job, and I'm usually not available for cleaning, we kept the cleaning fee low and pay a fair wage to those who keep the cottage clean. Guest access Just an FYI, there's a long driveway to get to the private, peaceful "Shangri-La" past the treeline to the Cottage, there's a street number sign at the end of the driveway. As you can see from the aerial photo, the Cottage is a separate guest house apart from the main house. Other things to note For those travelers with a "National" YMCA pass it is a mile away, complete with lap pool and indoor track, basketball, and weight training.
