Our cottage is a building built originally in 1840 which we have modernly renovated with beautiful finishing to provide you with an authentically Irish experience, in a cosy and comfortable modern convenience. The space The local bar/restaurant is on your doorstep and you have a shop/service station, 2 more pubs and another restaurant within a few minutes walk of the cottage. Leo’s Tavern, Donegal’s most famous pub and home of Clannad and Enya being one of them. GracieJohns Cottage has an excellent central location situated on the Wild Atlantic Way. It’s located in the centre of Crolly village with beautiful scenery, numerous beautiful walks along the river, a waterfall, and forest right at your doorstep. A cosy cottage fully furnished with all modern appliances and a stove greets you on arrival. It is an area of spectacular coastal scenery with golden sandy beaches minutes away. Nearby attractions include Glenveagh Castle and National Park, Mt. Errigal, bloody foreland and the Poison Glen, with daily boat trips to Aranmore, Gola & Tory Island. Also plenty to do for children including Errigal pet farm, Ionad cois locha (farm and outdoor and indoor play centre), a beautiful fairy walk featuring a large troll, leisure centre, water sports and the list goes on. I will provide all the information on these local attractions in the cottage. Drive a little further for much much more. You can fly direct on to 'the most beautiful runway in the world' to Carrickfinn Donegal airport, 15 mins from the cottage and buses from Dublin, Galway and Belfast drop and collect you from directly outside the cottage so it’s ideal for anyone that doesn’t drive or doesn’t want to bring a car. This space is overlooking a private back garden with an outdoor sitting area, a bridge and a beautiful river walk. Fibre Broadband WIFI Available Sleeps 9 Bedroom 1 – King size bed Bedroom 2- Triple sleeper bunk bed and a single bed Bedroom 3- Double bed and a fold up single bed Open plan living area which has a stove, television, dvd player and sonos speakers Kitchen is complete with all modern appliances including a dishwasher. 2 toilets- 1 main bathroom with a bath and shower and second toilet with shower The utility room has a washing machine,iron and ironing board The area out the back with garden furniture is perfect for a morning coffee, an evening bbq (bbq not provided but guests often use the disposable bbqs) and a place for children to play. Additional parking also available within 50m if required. Other things to note Additional charges: Towels are available at an additional charge of €5 per person Electric cars (if your charging your car from the house) is an additional €15 per car per day. Information on the local area, places to visit, places to eat etc. will be provided in the cottage as well as some history on the cottage itself which was originally home of a Gallagher family.
