Stone Wall Cottage

200 year old cottage nestled in a white-washed courtyard, lovingly restored and brought to life. All the modern comforts integrated between stone walls and rustic beams in a beautiful rural setting. Located half a mile from Tollymore Forest and by car we are 5 mins from Mourne Mountains, 5 mins from Newcastle and 5 mins from Castlewellan. The cottage is in the midst of our working horse farm, horses, chickens, dogs and donkeys are all part of the family. Dogs and horses are welcome guests. The space We are all super cosy open plan - from the sleeping area (with separate shower and toilet), you move into the kitchen/ dining area and then into the sitting room area. Beautifully laid out the cottage allows perfect spaces to rest, relax and enjoy food. Guest access A private lane takes you to our car park area with its big tree right in the middle. In front of the cottage is the cottage yard with white-washed buildings either side, it forms a sheltered sun trap. Garden chairs, table and a bench can all be enjoyed in this area and a gas barbecue is available on request. You are welcome to look into the paddocks which are busy with horse occupants but please do not enter unless we accompany you. Our mares can be very protective of their foals.
