Welcome to your very own island cottage treehouse - all new construction with a beach community theme, laced with Southern charm. To reach your 600 sq/ft studio cottage, use the private entrance to access the stairway. Along with a full bath and a convenient kitchenette, you are welcomed to a large open living space with double sliding glass doors that lead you to your own 180 sq/ft private balcony nestled among the live oaks. All guest bookings w favorable prior history will be considered. The space Our goal is for you to enjoy your time on the island as much as we do while providing all the creature comforts you value. We provide self check-in, easy keyless entry, quality Wi-Fi, cool air conditioning, free parking just steps away from the entry, a full size washer/dryer, a quaint kitchenette, ample toiletries, and more. The living area is one big space under a vaulted tongue and groove ceiling with wooden cypress beams. The furniture includes a new loveseat and recliner with a 75-inch streaming TV makes for a perfect spot to watch movies, sports, or just unwind after a great day on the island. There are also a few books, including some on local history and areas of interest for your reference. The bottom floor is our garage. We do our best to access our vehicles and the space at times when will not interfere with your time in the cottage. The bed linens are fresh and comfortable on a new pillow top king-size bed. You’ll enjoy a comfortable shower and well-lit vanity under a vaulted ceiling (plus heated floors for the cooler months) in the bathroom. A full-size stackable washer/dryer unit is also available in the bathroom for your use. The kitchenette is well-appointed with supplies, some snacks, and basic spices. For cooking, it is equipped with a toaster oven that serves as an air fryer, broiler, and for baking. A portable induction cooktop also provides a convenient cooking surface. But there are so many great places to eat, we encourage you to check out local dining options. Our favorite seafood spot is in the Pier Village at the Half Shell for the best fresh catch specials… plus, the Sticky Butter Cake ala mode is amazing! We have other favorites as well, so let us know if you are looking for recommendations. We have lived on the island for several years and had the cottage treehouse amenities built to meet or exceed our expectations for family, friends, and guests. We hope you experience the magic and charm of staying in the cottage treehouse — where childhood wonder meets grown-up comfort and privacy, along with the comforts you expect at a vacation destination. Our property is in a quiet neighborhood with many long-term residents. The community is ideal for a slow nature walk or a long morning jog. A nearby pond draws a variety of birds and even the occasional alligator. Bring a bike to enjoy your own adventures riding to the Coast Guest Station, touring the neighborhood along the beach, or riding to the Pier Village for shopping and excellent dining…plus, Southern Soul BBQ is just a short walk or ride away! The cottage treehouse includes a designated place to park your vehicle on the crushed limestone driveway. Security cameras are used to monitor the area. There are many places to see and enjoy on foot or on a bike. Golf cart and bicycle rentals are popular. We have exterior areas to secure them. Parking cars on the street is not allowed. Guest access Enjoy the exclusivity of the private balcony or feel free to roam around the area roads as you look and listen for great horned owls, wood storks, pileated woodpeckers, cardinals, egrets, blue herons and more. The cottage treehouse property is on a short dead-end road tucked away in a quiet corner on the southeast side of the island. It meanders past a small private lake and an inland marsh area before traveling through more Live Oaks on your way to the golden salt marsh. The waves of the Atlantic Ocean can be seen and heard in the distance, and a gentle ocean breeze is often rustling the moss up in the trees. Quiet, late evening strolls down the street in the spring and summer will provide a tree frog concert. Moonlit magic can be seen in the wide open spaces above the marsh and pond, as the island environment continues to amaze. Other things to note It is a simple 2-mile trip to the beach from the treehouse cottage. Side streets bypass the busiest roundabout and busy intersections. This route is also a safe and very easy bike ride…or rent a golf cart while on the island. Gould's Inlet is a fabulous place to launch a stand up paddle board (SUP) or kayak, and East Beach provides a large parking area and facilities. No smoking or vaping is allowed in the treehouse cottage or on the balcony. We host adults only. Sorry, no children nor pets allowed.
