In a wonderful secluded location on the edge of the forest, a place to switch off and unwind awaits you. By the campfire, you leave everyday life behind you, with nothing above you but the clear starry sky. During the day, you can explore nature or simply enjoy the tranquility on the edge of the forest. Nestled on the edge of the forest, far from roads and noise, you will experience true tranquility here. The star tent combines a natural experience with comfort – warm, cozy, and consciously minimalist. Our bell tent (Ø 4 m) provides a cozy retreat for 2 people. The transparent roof gives you an unobstructed view of the starry sky right from your bed. Doors and windows are fitted with fly screens. On the central tent pole, a lamp provides atmospheric, indirect light. 🔥 Cooking & dining Part of a true glamping experience is cooking outdoors. Whether on the camping stove or over the fire, everything is ready. You can barbecue on the swing grill in the traditional Saarland style or use the cast-iron grate on the fire pit. To help you get your day off to a good start, you will find an electric kettle, a French press, ground coffee, and a small selection of teas. Dishes, cutlery and drinking cups are available for 2 people. Right in front of the tent, you will find a covered dining area with a table and chairs. Just a short walk away, there is an organic farm where you can buy eggs, lettuce, and seasonal vegetables. During milking times (7:30–9:00 a.m. in the morning, 6:00–7:30 p.m. in the evening), you can also get fresh pasture milk there. 🛏️ Sleeping Upon your arrival, you will find a freshly made double bed (1.80 x 2.00 m) with soft linens and cozy blankets. The transparent roof lets you gaze at the starry sky – but it can also be darkened with a curtain if needed. 💧 Electricity & water There is no electricity connection at the tent. A power bank is available for you to charge your cell phone and other devices. The amenities also include an LED camping lantern. Next to the toilet, there is a small washing and dishwashing area with a fresh water canister, biodegradable outdoor soap, and a dishcloth. You will find drinking water at the cooking station. 🌿 Toilet Our forest toilet is a modern Trobolo dry-composting toilet cabin – sustainable, low-odor, and hygienic. 🌲 Surroundings The Sternenzelt is located in the middle of the Saarland hills, on the edge of the forest. The nearest inhabited farm is about 300 meters (1,000 feet) away; the nearest village is about 0.6 miles (1 km) away. In the area, you can find numerous hiking trails, including the award-winning Tiefenbach Trail. The nearby deciduous forest invites you to enjoy forest bathing. A short walk will take you to a lookout point – perfect for spectacular sunsets with views all the way to France. 🧥 Meals You can bring your own groceries or, optionally, add the Grill & Chill package (€350). From the parking lot, it is about a 400 m walk across a meadow to the tent. Please do not drive to the tent by car. Please note that check-in is autonomous. I'll provide you with all the information, but I won't be on site myself. Parking and the way to the tent are signposted. If you have any questions, you can of course reach me by cell phone! Other things to note Please note that the tent is in a secluded location on the edge of the forest. Therefore, there is no running water or electricity. Solar lamps and a camping lantern provide lighting. An insulated cooler is available to you upon request. For washing and rinsing there is a tank filled with tap water (about 30 l). In addition, I provide you with a fresh water canister with drinking water for making coffee, etc. A camping shower is also available.
