Hancock Hollow Forest Cottage

Reservations open early May for the period between June 1 and September 30. This beautiful cottage is ideal for couple get aways or a family reunion. Adjacent to the national forest, beautiful hikes are right out the back door. Relax on property or explore nearby forests, lakes and rivers. Less than a mile from restaurants, country store and more. Hancock Hollow is where memories are made! The space A wonderful mountain home at an elevation of 8,200 feet. Adjacent to the forest boundary with forest creatures wandering by at the windows. A large covered deck with a wrap around porch of views of the private playground and sand pit--a favorite for kids. Enjoy the sounds of creaky wood planks, birds, coyotes and the seasonal elk bugling. Guest access Enjoy the home with private access to its relaxing deck hammock swing, large picnic table and gas fire pit, fully accessible adjacent forest, a private playground with slide, swings, jungle gym and even a merry go round next to the kid popular "sandpit". For the entire family there is a horseshoe pit, two cornhole sets, golf clubs available (Alpine Country Club is 10 minutes away). Several lakes and river locations for fishing. The town of Alpine is about a mile away. Other things to note There is a full size smoker/grill for use. Extra propane for the deck fire pit along with outdoor games and accessories is located in the carport storage. inside there are plenty of board games for a good time. The deck lights come on at dark and turn off after 6 hours. There is a switch on the post if you prefer to have them off. A wood firepit is also on the property. Please follow safe fire care when using and extinguish when done.
