I Marici is the ideal solution for those who want to stay in the heart of Pavia, just a five-minute walk from the main square, the Central University, restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops. The apartment (about 80 square meters) is also convenient to the train station (in thirty minutes you will be in Piazza Duomo in Milan) and that of buses. The apartment is spacious, bright and, despite being in the center of nightlife, is in a secluded location so very quiet. It is located on the first floor of a period building located on Via Porta Marica, an ancient entrance to the city demolished in 1823. It is said that the first cinema in Pavia was located on the ground floor: "Two things stand out in the short walk: that small courtyard surrounded by a gate that protrudes onto the street and the bottleneck (...). The decent house that it encloses was built by a Swiss lady in 1914 who set up the first cinema in Pavia, which was silent, of course" (Walking through Pavia, Emi editrice). The apartment has an elevator and a balcony in the single room. It consists of two bedrooms (one single with an additional foldaway bed and one triple with a double and single bed), a bathroom with shower, full bathroom fixtures, hairdryer and 8/5Kg washer-dryer (detergent available). Large and bright living room with comfortable double sofa bed overlooking the open kitchen with induction stove, dishwasher, fridge with freezer, gas oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and Nescafè Dolce Gusto coffee machine (with supply of pods). Sugar, tea, herbal teas, salt, pepper, oil and vinegar are also available. There is a clothesline, first aid kit, radio, dishes, pots, sheets, duvets or blankets depending on the season, towels of various sizes, soap, shower gel and headphones. It can comfortably accommodate six people so it is ideal for both large groups and families, but also for couples or business trips. Paid parking is about 200-400 meters away, free parking is about 1 kilometer away. All directions will be provided at the time of booking. It is important to know that if you book for two people, the double bed will be prepared, but if you need to sleep in separate beds, therefore also using the single room, this must be requested at the time of booking. Other things to note From September 1, the Municipality of Pavia has established the accommodation tax of €2 per day for three days. For every need, my husband Bruno and I (co-host) will be at our complete disposal, living upstairs. You can leave your luggage on our guarded landing both before check-in (from 3 p.m. onwards) and after check-out (by 10 a.m.). Pets are welcome. Closed back yard for bicycles.
