Melin Llanrhian is a fabulous, converted stone watermill on the edge of the peaceful hamlet of Llanrhian.Sleeping 6 plus 2 travel cots,the 3-bedroom holiday home is perfect for your next family getaway, and is just a short walk from Porthgain on the Pembrokeshire coast. Built in 1827, the grade II-listed property has been beautifully renovated and is full of character. Outside, there's a restored mill pond and a fabulous patio area with parking for 4/5 cars. The room has been carefully restored to maintain its character. There are two sofas and a TV, while large glass double doors open on to the enclosed patio. In the dining area there’s a table and chairs for six, and you can view the mill workings through safety glass, which can be illuminated. The fully-fitted stylish kitchen features exposed stone walls, and a table and chairs. In the inviting sunroom there's a log-burning stove and bi-fold glass doors that let the sunlight stream in, and these doors open to the terrace. Plus, there's a handy utility room with a washing machine, tumble-dryer, and space for your shoes, wellies and coats, etc. Also conveniently located on the ground floor is a fully-tiled bathroom. It has a bath with an overhead power shower and shower screen, and a washbasin, toilet and bidet. There’s slate flooring throughout the ground floor, while a beautiful oak staircase leads to the bedrooms and shower room on the first floor. Upstairs, the lovely master bedroom features a double bed, whitewashed walls, character beams and bedroom furniture, while French windows open on to a sloping path that leads to ground level. The second double bedroom also has whitewashed walls, character beams and bedroom furniture. The third bedroom is a twin room with bespoke bunk beds. The fully-tiled shower room has a shower cubicle with a power shower, and a washbasin and toilet. Outside, there’s an enclosed patio where you can enjoy wonderful views over the mill race and stream to the hamlet of Llanrhian. You'll find garden furniture and a barbecue area, making it just the spot for al fresco dining or simply relaxing. And why not swap a night in for an evening under the stars? The secluded rural location makes Melin Llanrhian the ideal place to enjoy a spot of stargazing. So, grab a blanket and a warm drink, and gaze at the wonders of the clear skies above. (Note: mobile phone reception is patchy but we do have wifi) Guest access You have use of the whole property , the large garden outside up to the fence of the next property Other things to note The garden is not secure for dogs and we also have a pond at the bottom of the garden Please note that mobile phone signal in the area of the cottage is very patchy due to its location. The cottage does have fibre broadband internet that is provided for recreational and not for business use. Neither a minimum speed, unrestricted bandwidth nor uninterrupted provision of an internet access service can be guaranteed and We will be not be liable for any form of compensation or expenses claimed by any guest in respect of the provision of internet services or telephone services not being available or failing. This is a non-smoking property, both for guest comfort and to keep our cottage fresh.
