Description

A grade II listed house with excellent views of the Ceiriog Valley at Pontfadog North Wales, 4 miles from Chirk/Llangollen. Tan-y-Garth Hall is normally run as a yoga and study retreat by a charity, some rooms sometimes available for self catering stays: WE CAN NOT HOST CHILDREN UNDER AGE 7 OR PETS FOR HEALTH & SAFETY REASONS. WE ARE ALSO STRICTLY VEGETARIAN i.e no meat or fish allowed on the premises. Rules not negotiable. Please enquire before booking. Larger numbers up to 19 also possible. The space This is a grade II listed Arts and Craft building with a fascinating history set in 10 acres of woodland. This along with our core function as a yoga retreat makes the Hall an unusual, interesting and peaceful place to stay at affordable cost. However because of this it is not a suitable building for younger children under the age of nine. Ideal for family and group retreats. Would best suit reflective thinkers or those seeking a peaceful environment to explore the area. N.B. Whilst our normal events focus on and the study of philosophy, arts, science and religion, we are non-denominational and welcome people of all faiths or none as our quests at all times. Please note that we are all VEGETARIAN with no meat or fish cooking or consumption on the premises. We also ask that guests note that because our own events are normally alcohol free only modest consumption of wine and beer with meals is appropriate when staying with us. However, we can highly recommend the nearby Swan Inn, a five minute walk down a quite lane to Pontfadog village, which offers excellent gastro pub meals for meat eaters and vegetarian plus a good range of beers, wines and spirits. Clean comfortable rooms with a superb valley views. If you think of us as a peaceful, upmarket hostel rather than a down market anything else, you are not likely to be disappointed! Guest access Please note you are renting a large part, but not all of the building. There may be other users around the building from time to time who come to do voluntary work but they will not be in your private spaces as listed below. Includes exclusive use of library (seats 13) as sitting room, large well equipped kitchen and adjoining dinning room (seats 14), three bedrooms and two bathrooms in main wing plus two twin bedrooms one bathroom and extra toilet in BnB wing. Plus shared use of common areas including, hallways, verandah and gardens. N.B. Up to three more bedroom can be added at extra cost making a possible total of 8 bedrooms. Other things to note Minimum of 2 nights stay. We sometimes hold outdoor cinema events on the garden terrace in the summer nights between 8.00 PM and 11.00 PM to which you will be given complimentary tickets on request. Please enquire further.
