Tree Haven is a cozy Gambrel style cabin nestled in the trees backing up to the greenbelt. Come, relax, cuddle by the fire or sip wine under the pines.  There are many outdoor nature activities and historic sites in the surrounding area, and yet this home also provides a peaceful environment if you want a low-key vacation in a cozy cabin surrounded by mountains and the beautiful forest. Pine Mountain Club is an easy 90 min drive from LA and an hour from Santa Clarita.  Surrounded by Los Padres Forest and located in Pine Mountain Club, Tree Haven is close to many trails and wilderness settings, yet is only 1 mile away from the village center shops, restaurants and the PMC Country Club.    Tree Haven is a cozy two bedroom one bathroom cabin. The master bedroom has a queen size bed with memory foam mattress and the second bedroom has a full size bed with memory foam mattress. There is an additional fold out with a memory foam topper by the fire place downstairs. In the evenings you can lounge on the stargazing-yoga deck where there is a clearing in the trees allowing you to view the sky: On clear nights during a new moon you can see hints of the milky way right in the back yard.   The cabin is on a unique property at a higher elevation that is hugged by a mountain valley and shaded by trees creating a serine environment.     **Please note the laundry machine is broken! The Tree Haven Cabin includes:  Fast Wi-Fi, a smart TV including guest access Netflix and Prime Video, Alexa in every room to enjoy music through-out, full kitchen, drafting table, 2 sources of heat, portable ACs , extra pillows and blankets, a cozy wood burning stove/fireplace, two patios and a yoga-stargazing deck out back.    Other unique features: full house water filtration and water softener, convection oven, all in one air fryer/toaster/microwave.  All NEW kitchen appliances!    PMC ACTIVITIES:  This cozy home is adjacent to a number of beautiful trails.  Two of our favorites being, Woodland waterfall trail (Waterfall most active in the spring) and Enchanted forest trail by a creek active most of the year.  If you are interested in historic sites you can visit San Emigdio Canyon Trail where missionaries found gold in the canyon, and US soldiers made their way to Fort Tejon.  You can also take an enjoyable walk on the Silverville Mine trail and stroll through the original route of the El Camino Viejo, Old Hyw, used in the late 1700’s and early 1800’s as a wagon trail.  This roadway was a continuous route all the way from San Diego to San Francisco.    Mount Pinos is situated only 20mins from Pine Mountain Club, you can cross country ski, hike, or spend an evening stargazing near Nordic Base which has been identified by many as the one of the best star gazing sites in Sothern California.    For more information please see our GUIDEBOOK! These are exciting new additions to our community!  The Pool and Country club are a 3 min drive from Tree Haven.  They are open in warm months and are adjacent to the club house near the Village Center.  COUNTRY CLUB  We offer our guests Club House cards so you are able to access all the activities, café, golf and dinning at the Club.   The cards will be located on the kitchen bar. Please leave them on the bar when you leave. There will be a fee for lost cards as we must purchase additional cards.  GUEST ACCESS  There is a combination lock box.  Code will be sent the day of your reservation.  Tree Haven has enough space to comfortably park 3 small – mid-sized cars.   WiFi and CELL SERVICE  As with many remote forest locations cell service can be spotty all over PMC.  Typically, Verizon is the only cell provider that is reliable in PMC.  Sprint and T-Mobile usually work at the cabin only, however if you leave you will likely not have service.  We offer fast WiFi which works 90% of the time, we like guests to know, while rare, there are times when it is spotty as well.   Of course, contact us with ANY questions or concerns before or during your stay!  SHOPPING AND SUPPLIES  Pine Mountain Club is a small remote village in the middle of Los Padres National Forest.  Shopping accommodations differ from the city.    Details of local stores are in our GUIDEBOOK. We encourage guests to bring necessary supplies and food with them. We are 30mins from the nearest grocery store! FOOD AND TRASH All food and trash must be kept inside at all times.  This is for the protection of guests and animals.  We have a variety of amazing wildlife including bears, mountain lions and coyotes.  Animals will arrive uninvited when food or trash is available.  There are community fines for food and trash violations which will be the guest’s responsibility for violations.   SNOW: 4wd or chains are required in when there is snow.  During large snows there will be an extra $75 fee for snow removal. Please ask me about this if you have any questions. PARTIES Due to strict HOA rules if there is a party or abuse to the cabin there will be a base charge of $700 in addition to extra cleaning and or damage fees. Outdoor smoking only please SECURITY The cabin has a monitored alarm system that includes smoke detectors and a doorbell camera.  Guests are given the code and are welcome to use this.  The area is very safe, however is in a high fire risk zone.
