Description
A characterful rural retreat blending original charm with modern comfort and glorious views 1659 renovated barn - first used for homing livestock and as a hayloft Many original features Modern well-equipped kitchen with sofa and breakfast bar seating Downstairs toilet Living room with double sofa bed Reading area Upstairs bathroom with shower Bedroom with kingsized bed and lovely views over the Mendips Hills and Cheddar Gorge Outdoor seating areas and parking spaces Pets welcome Other things to note You're in the middle of proper working countryside here, with birdsong throughout the day and horses, donkeys, sheep and chickens grazing in the fields nearby. It's a real rural escape and part of what makes a stay here special. Being a genuine 1659 barn surrounded by open country, in warm spells you may occasionally spot a woodlouse or the odd insect that's wandered in from the old stone and garden, especially if windows are left open. They're harmless and simply part of the character of a building this age, and the barn is cleaned thoroughly between every stay.
