Other things to note Located in the heart of Vashon Island. You can walk to the corner store a mile away, or take a 10 minute drive into the adorable town of Vashon. There you will find grocery stores, lots of restaurants and interesting shops. Vashon is a rural place and you will see a lot of wildlife. We are an island dependent on the ferries and have developed a quirky, resilient way of life out here. The winter months can see power outages and road closures. These are beyond our control and we will do our best to keep guests updated should this occur.
