The space Our log home sits on five scenic acres with spectacular mountain views in beautiful Perry County, Pennsylvania. Escape to the countryside and enjoy a relaxing stay in our private one-bedroom, one-bath walk-out basement guest suite located on the property of Perry County Bee Company. Experience life on a working bee farm while enjoying modern comforts and peaceful surroundings. The suite comfortably accommodates two guests and includes: ~ Queen bedroom with TV, electric fireplace, ceiling fan, and charging ports ~ Full bathroom with walk-in shower, towels, and toiletries ~ Cozy living area with sofa, TV, and dining table for two ~ Kitchenette with cooktop, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, cookware, coffee, bottled water, and soda Outside, enjoy private parking, outdoor seating, Adirondack chairs, propane fire pits, and access to a wood-burning fire pit area. Visit our small farm store to browse locally made products and fresh raw honey harvested right on the property. Located just 20 minutes from Carlisle, you'll be close to hiking trails, parks, farmers markets, and historic attractions while enjoying peaceful country living and beautiful sunsets. Joe and I live upstairs with our yellow lab, Boone. Since the suite is directly below our living area and home offices, you may occasionally hear normal family activity and the occasional bark. Pets are welcome with advance notice. We simply ask that pets remain leashed outdoors and that owners clean up after them. Cell service can be limited in our area, but we provide high-speed internet and recommend enabling Wi-Fi calling during your stay. Guests have private access to the entire lower-level suite via smart lock entry, along with access to the front porch, fire pit areas, and a propane grill. The property is entirely smoke-free indoors. Outdoor smoking is permitted only in designated areas using the provided receptacles. For security, outdoor cameras monitor the property; cameras facing guest areas are deactivated during your stay. Guest access You will have access to the basement suite, fire pit area, guest propane grill outside the guest entrance, and front porch. We will send you the front door code on the morning of your stay. Other things to note You must be 21 years of age to reserve. Please let us know ahead of time if you’re bringing a pet; thanks! We welcome traveling nurses - UPMC Carlisle and New Bloomfield are 14 miles from the cabin. *Host does not receive the guest service fee or occupancy tax.* Please review the rules and regulations before requesting a rental. ** The cabin is located in a rural area; there are a limited number of grocery stores, restaurants, and gas stations. Uber Eats is available for delivery. Carlisle and Mechanicsburg are a short 20-minute drive.** In the country, you might find, Relaxation and peace of mind. But just as often, you will see insects, spiders, or a honeybee. Attracted to light indoors, they may stray; just a head’s up during your stay!
