Cullenbone Cottage is a cosy riverfront studio located on the grounds of Cullenbone Schoolhouse (c1862). The cottage is a comfortable getaway set high on the banks of the Cudgegong River along the Travelling Stock Route. Just 9 mins drive from the heart of Mudgee or 10 mins to historic Gulgong, this private farmstay cottage is an easy drive to all the vineyards and a perfect choice for your Mudgee getaway. Cullenbone Cottage is the perfect farm stay for couples, with sprawling views across the back paddocks overlooking the Cudgegong River. It was originally built to be lived in, so it has lots of windows and high cathedral ceilings to make it feel bright and spacious but still very cosy. There's gorgeous views from the covered porch that overlook the TSR, Cudgegong River and back paddocks of Gooree Park. Sit outside on the comfortable outdoor lounges with a drink to watch the sun light up the hillside over the river. Views onto the back paddocks of Gooree where you will watch the Wagyu on the hillside or catch a glimpse of deer or kangaroos. There's loads of local wildlife, horses and cattle to see and hear. Inside is a comfortable 3 seater lounge to sink into and watch TV. A well-sized split Air Conditioner keeps you comfortable all year round. Superfast Starlink wi-fi covers the entire property. Wake up in a Plush Queen size bed with luxury linen, bedding & pillow choices. Electric blankets are also fitted for the cooler nights. Modern bathroom with luxury Sheridan towels and Sukin Natural skincare products provided. Heat lamps keep you warm in Winter. The kitchenette contains a full size fridge, microwave oven, single induction cooktop, saucepans, glasses, crockery & cutlery. We've also provided a general range of condiments & sauces. Outside on the balcony is a small gas BBQ with utensils, a cafe table and chairs & a comfortable outdoor lounge perfect for afternoon naps. Enjoy some time by the Fire Pit - kindling, firewood & marshmallows are provided! For the warmer days, bring your swimmers for a dip in the river. It's quite shallow in certain spots. If you prefer, bring a fishing rod and try your luck. Chairs & a picnic blanket are ready for your use. A good selection of Tea & Coffee Pods are provided along with milk for each stay. We are pet friendly and fur babies are very welcome with a pet fee. Dogs love it here and there's acres of space for them to run around and do Zoomies. The river and back paddocks are especially a hit. The cottage is surrounded by a 200m2 enclosed yard suitable to safely keep medium to larger dogs. Guest access Entry is by private driveway for the cottage only. There are 5 steps to the front door. Easy self check-in at any time with the key safe lock code at the front door. Guests are welcome to access the whole property (30 acres) and explore down along the back paddocks to the riverbank which is part of the Travelling Stock Route to Mudgee. Our neighbours breed miniature horses who roam the TSR and also like to visit the back fence. Bring some carrots & apples! Other things to note We use harvested rain water and have a 2 Filter system attached to our tank. Filters are replaced regularly & the tank is emptied & cleaned every 6 months. We also provide spring water for drinking in the fridge. There is a single security camera located to watch over the front gate and private driveway. Ample private parking available for all cars. We are adjacent to the Castlereagh Hwy and only 1 minute from the Guntawang Road, Dubbo turn off. Children must be supervised at all times on the property. Please understand this a rural setting, so you'll see and hear plenty of nice animals like sheep, cows, horses, roosters, kangaroos and a vast array of birdlife. You may also encounter a critter or 2 that are native to farmlife & Australia in general. Thus, we maintain a high level of pest control to ensure your comfort. Registration Details PID-STRA-35484
