A Spacious 2 bedroom cottage in the picturesque village of Orton which lies on the coast to coast walk and is now part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. There are many countryside walks surrounding the village and further afield. It is well situated for exploring nearby towns and is close enough to the Lake District National Park also. Orton has a village shop/post office, pub, Chocolate Factory with tearoom and a Cafe. Nearby is a Farm Shop selling a wide range of fresh produce. The space Scar View is conveniently based being only a 5 minute drive from J38 on the M6. Its an ideal place for some R&R, walking, exploring nearby villages and towns or a venture into the Lake District National Park. There are some lovely places to eat out - some are listed in our Information and Instruction file along with information leaflets of places to visit etc We welcome one well behaved dog on request for a small extra charge but we ask not to allow on the furniture or leave unattended in the cottage. FREE WIFI, TV & DVD player, Radio, books, games. Central heating. Ground floor: Spacious lounge with TV and DVD player, open fire. Well equipped dining kitchen with washing machine and microwave. Spacious hall way. Upstairs: Spacious landing. Bedroom one with a king size and a single bed, drawers and wardrobe. Bedroom two has a double bed and fitted wardrobe plus drawers. Both have open views over countryside. Spacious bathroom with separate shower cubicle and bath with shower/tap. Outside Space: To the rear is enclosed sitting space with table and chairs. Enclosed space to the front with small garden/flower bed and bench, ideal place to chill and take in the surrounding sights, sounds and scents. There is off road parking available outside the entrance to the cottage. Guest access Guests have access to the whole house and outdoor spaces listed. Other things to note We always leave a small supply of essentials eg tea/coffee and a fresh pint of milk in the fridge as a welcome starter after your journey.
