Description

Take a break and unwind in our 2 bedroom unit at Middle Park. We are 2km north of Exeter in the heart of the Tamar Valley on a 2.5 acre block. You will have your own entrance, a comfortable bedroom with large ensuite, a second larger bedroom with couches for 4 and its own bathroom and toilet, a large private deck with BBQ, a newly renovated kitchenette and stunning country views. Ruth and Craig live in the other side of the house with our own entrance. Plenty of walks and wineries close by. The space This listing is for 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms - we also have a listing if you only require 1 bedroom with ensuite. Our house is around 150 metres from the road, with country views all around. You will be able to park right next to the covered porch and front door. Inside there are 2 bedrooms, the first has its own large ensuite and a sliding door onto your private deck with BBQ, seating and flower beds. The second bedroom is larger, and has a double bed and seating area with 2 couches. You have your own newly renovated kitchenette where you can prepare light meals. It has a large microwave, sandwich toaster, rice machine, induction plate and pans and a range of bowls and other utensils. It does not have an oven but we do offer a BBQ on the front porch. This room also has a washing machine - and your own clothes rack outside which you are free to use. There is an iron and ironing board for freshening up your clothes. The rooms are all sunny and comfortable and all have double glazing to keep you cosy! We have provided a bar table with 2 stools in the breakfast nook, there is also a dining table and chairs on the covered front porch along with 2 easy chairs - a great place to enjoy Tasmanian sunsets! On your deck there is seating - this is East facing and the place to enjoy your morning coffee! Apart from one small (6cm) step when you step into the main bedroom from the hallway the unit is flat and easy to move around in, even with a walker. We can provide a ramp if you need it. We can also provide a shower seat and a seat to go over the toilet if required - just let us know what we can do to make your stay comfortable. Ruth also has basic Auslan skills We have Baarbara sheep who is always very excited to meet new people - we now keep her paddock gate locked as she has become very naughty at slipping past unsuspecting guests in the hunt for new grass.... We have recently added some picnic equipment, including an esky, picnic sets and chairs...feel free to use them and enjoy some days out in beautiful Tassie! There is a tourist information centre in Exeter - the people who work there are super friendly and will give you lots of tips on places to see, both locally and throughout Tasmania! Guest access We are on 2.5 acres and have plenty of parking right next to the house for you. There is only very limited public transport and the nearest bus stop is approximately 2km away in Exeter so we would recommend that you have your own transport to fully enjoy your stay. We will probably be able to accommodate small caravans and boats - but please get in contact with us first. You will have your own half of the house with your own entrance. When we have guests staying, we use a side gate and access our side of the house from our back garden. Other things to note We do provide free satellite wifi - we recently added a booster and the speed is normally pretty good - unless we are experiencing thunderstorms! We are surrounded by farms, and we seem to have acquired Roger Rooster who has taken to sleeping in the big hedge at the front of the house. He tends to wake early to "sing the song of his people" If you aren't used to Rooster song, the double glazing will help, or there are earplugs in the bathrooms - he is a lovely boy who will hang around for snacks! We have 3 lovely sheep - we will leave some food out for you to feed them, but please don't go into their paddock without us - we have 2 new lambs who are still learning how to stay safe!
